ellitor 33,039
Quote It’s almost all-star season for some future Tigers By Keith Niebuhr 24 hours ago 2 For some of Auburn’s top signees and remaining targets, their prep careers aren’t quite over with just yet. That’s because many will compete in prestigious all-star games this winter. Here’s a quick preview: ***ALL-AMERICAN BOWL*** When: Jan. 4 Where: Alamo Dome, San Antonio, Texas Television: NBC -WR, Kobe Hudson, LaGrange (Ga.) Troup — Auburn signee: Hudson, the No. 93 overall recruit nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite, was the first player chosen nationally in the 2020 class to compete in this game. He totaled more than 7,500 yards of offense the past two seasons while playing quarterback. He’ll enroll at Auburn in January. -LB, Desmond Tisdol, Rochelle (Ga.) Wilcox County — Auburn signee: : A 4-star recruit, Tisdol picked the Tigers over Tennessee last Wednesday. A good spring followed by an outstanding senior season helped his stock soar. -DT, McKinnley Jackson, Lucedale (Miss.) George County: Just last weekend, Jackson was MVP of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. The 4-star Tigers target officially visited in November and will announce his decision February. Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Georgia are the teams to watch and it’s anyone's game right now. ***UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICA GAME*** When: Jan. 2 Where: Camping World Stadium, Orlando., Fla. Television: ESPN -OT, Broderick Jones, Lithonia (Ga.): The No. 19 overall recruit in the country, this 5-star prospect is committed to Georgia but did not sign last week. He plans to officially visit the Tigers in January and there are some in Auburn who think the program has a real chance to flip him. The Tigers obviously have a big need at tackle. -DB, Chris Thompson Jr., Duncanville (Texas) — Auburn signee: The 4-star safety committed to the Tigers over Texas last summer. He competed in a state championship game Saturday and will get a week off before heading to Florida. Thompson is an early enrollee. -RB, Tank Bigsby, Callaway (Ga.) — Auburn signee: The lone 5-star in the 2020 Auburn recruiting class, Bigsby rushed for more than 1,600 yards as a senior despite missing a few games with an ankle injury. He’s an early enrollee who will arrive at Auburn three days after this game. -LB, Wesley Steiner, Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County — Auburn signee: A top-100 recruit, Steiner was the National Combine Ratings champ last summer at The Opening Finals in Texas. Many consider him the most athletic recruit in the entire class.

Auburn Kev 1,653
Day 1 Top Performers Under Armour All-American Game Top Five on Offense OT Broderick Jones (41) – Perhaps the top unsigned prospect in the game, the Georgia verbal commitment both looked and played the part of a top offensive tackle prospect on Sunday. The Lithonia (Ga.) lineman has an ideal build for the position with a long lean frame and thick lower half, while carrying no bad weight. Jones looked the part of a high-upside athletic blindside tackle in practice, impressing with his quickness both off the snap and in mirroring pass rushers during 1-on-1’s and 11-on-11. He was able to get into his pass set with ease and was unbothered off the edge for most of the day. In addition to his movement skills, Jones also showed some pop in his hands on contact. No other offensive lineman in attendance appears to challenge Jones’ unique combination of feet and length on the edge. He's set to take January officials to Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee before signing. Best of the Rest At linebacker, we liked how ... Auburn signee Wesley Steiner (68) looked when dropping into space. We should know more about both positions tomorrow and as the week progresses. Link
