Per Keith, Gus & most of the O staff are visiting Bro Jones tomorrow as well as some from the UGA staff per Rusty.

Huh, I wonder if we are sending our biggest and boldest to the front door when the doorbell rings to let the UGA staff in....

I would send coach Bick and see if we can send Takeo Spikes - you know, as an analyst.   It's like the coin toss - send someone that will make an impression.

I hate to drag this out, but I thought I heard on a podcast that Gus visited Monday.   Maybe that was a plan that did not take place?  I feel sorry his mom making that many pots of coffee.  Maybe the Auburn staff can bring in Starbucks for all.

Nope. As posted a few post up the Monday intel was bad info from Rivals.

It's not all at night. Some is during the day while he was at school.

Were I the parent of a prospect, I wouldn't have all those people on the same day. Give each one a day and if they didn't like my choice, scratch their school off my list. I don't like it from the perspective of a fan either. It could turn into a helluva mess.

As stated earlier most of the visits happened during the day while Jones was at school. The parents wasn’t even involved.

I have never been involved in recruiting before, but I have plenty of money and we really need a LT.  How do I deliver the goods to our future LT?

In an actual bag?

Purchase a Dodge Charger and have it delivered?

Is there a family "manager" I should visit?

Poker chips from a Vegas casino?  Gift cards?

All of the above?  Help a brother out!

He's 6'5", 298. Forget the Dodge Charger. Get him an Escalade.

I feel good about landing Jones. Great payback for Nose Pickens ...I meant George Pickens from last year!

Recruiting Analyst Predicts 5-Star Jones Will Flip Commitment

Five-star lineman Broderick Jones has been committed to Georgia for nearly two years now. But to date, Jones still hadn’t signed his letter of intent to play in Athens.

Having taken so much time to put his pen to paper, and continuing to visit other schools, Jones is now being tipped to flip his commitment entirely.

Rivals recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt recently said that he expects Jones to end up with the Auburn Tigers. He noted that Jones is planning a visit to Auburn this coming weekend, and should make his flip official on National Signing Day.

From Rivals.com:

The highest-ranked prospect left in the class is who I am looking at for some Late Signing Period fireworks. Broderick Jones is committed to Georgia, but I think he pulls the switch and ends up with Auburn.

247Sports rates Jones as the No. 11 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation, and the No. 3 prospect from the state of Georgia.

To date, he has taken official visits to Georgia, Arkansas and Illinois. But he’s taken multiple unofficial visits to Auburn too.

Losing one of the biggest in-state recruits in the country – let alone to SEC rival Auburn – would be a huge blow to Georgia’s recruiting efforts in 2020.

Will Jones stick with Georgia, or will be he plying his trade with another SEC giant?

Playing for Bicknell will make him a 1st round pick when his time comes. I think we hired an excellent OL coach with Bicknell.  I love that Gus is finally getting out of the way and letting his coaches do what they were paid and hired to do. Sometimes control freaks have a hard time letting go. In this case, I think that Gus can trust Bicknell 110% with his OL. Time will tell this story, and I sure hope it is one of the best ones for the 2020 season.

Need to get him on campus with a good visit before we starting calling for anything. Let’s not count our chickens before they hatch.

If he does, though, you've got to like Auburn's chances

Him not canceling his visit is a good sign imo

UGA staffers are still visiting tonight. So he can still cancel.

And yes, absolutely. It’s always felt like we have a serious chance, we just have to get him here.

Don’t speak it into existence

I find it unlikely that he visits Auburn.

What? It's my dumb ass wrong predictions that landed us the big tight end, you know.

How many games did you say we'd lose next year with Morris calling the O? All of them? Noted.
