Bu the thing is, with the rotation depth, he's not going to get many more shot opportunities than he's getting now. We need him to be more efficient when he gets the few he's getting. Otherwise, he's not effective on offense and is a liability right now on defense.

If Okoro is out tomorrow and Purifoy isn't feeling much better -- he'll get more shots.

The reason he doesn't get more playing time or shots IS bc he is our weakest bench defender, and he only seems to shoot the 3s. The other bench guys: Cambridge(has shown he can hit the 3, and a lot of them when he is on. He also, rebounds pretty well, and plays a little better D). Flanigan is in their mostly bc of his D, and now w/ Okoro out is the best option to stop a good offensive player on the other team.

The only way JJ plays more is he has to hit his 3's. Or at the end of the game he goes in b/c he is a good FT shooter.

I'm not sure he will. Bruce mentioned Jaylin Williams possibly getting some playing time. Don't think Jamal will get more run or more opportunities because of Okoro's absence. Now, if Jamal comes out hot and makes his first attempt or two, then we're probably going to try to work the ball to him more. But he's going to have to create more shots for himself by making the ones he's getting now.

Did anyone hear anything from Bruce about why the matchup zone? I heard one thing in the postgame where he said they couldn’t play man because they were so much smaller. Not sure I understand that.

Thoughts @JwgreDeux @cole256?

In addition to @cole256 Point, it was also to get Wiley out of those high pick and rolls. We were really getting hurt in those so going zone eliminates Wiley being in that play and keeps him in a position to protect the rim.
