Saban Hires Charlie Strong

(From multiple mainstream sources). Interesting hire IMO, unlike Kiffin who is arguably the most overhyped coach of our time, Strong was awesome (IMO) at Louisville and headscratchingly inept since. High profile move in any event by Saban.

According to the talking heads on the radio this morning, Strong will be coming in as support staff.  So this is just more of Little Nicky getting ex-head coaches in as analyst

And I'd venture to say putting Pete Golding on official notice to shape up or ship out.  That the worst defense they've probably ever put in the field in NS's time.  Weak, lost on the field, no one played like they had any confidence in the scheme or what they were doing out there.

Are you referring to Lane Kiffin, who completely revamped Alabama’s offense in an offseason, used Blake Simms, Jake Coker, and a freshman Jalen Hurts in consecutive years to pound Auburn and reach the playoffs, and win two national championships?

yep

that's like 5 former head coaches that are working probably illegally (per ncaa rules) for him. Imagine all the recruiting contacts these guys have.

He's been doing this for a decade and now LSU is finally catching up.  At one in time he had over half a dozen former HC's/NFL coaches working as coordinators/position coaches than any other program.  He's had the likes of Mario Christobal/Mel Tucker/Lane Kiffin and now Butch Jones/Charlie Strong and numerous others are plugging away at schemes and game planning.

The man annually brings in Super Bowl winning HC's & Assts for his summer camps and big time professionally recognized athletes (rip Kobe) to speak to his team.
