AUFamily...passing through to check on my mom and celebrate our daughter's 24th, five total, at woods house in Lee County. I DO NOT RECOGNIZE MY TOWN! Wish I had time to snap pix...the fire station, the block to the right of J&M, the Hotel/Conference Center, the landscaping that replaced the lovely historic gingerbread on Samford/College corner...not here to debate environmental issues vs. economic development, but simply to register shock. SOME jobs are booming. Locals, please snap and upload as you are able. 

P.S. Toomers Drugstore was open (bypassed but yearning), and Kroger always rocks...fortunately not typical crowds.

It really does change year to year down there. Completely different than it did in the 80’s.

It is absolutely in acceleration mode now...fewer obstacles. Less pedestrian traffic, but simply jaw-dropping.
