We need a president who listens to experts first, and doesn't pontificate optimistic "happy talk" that is based on nothing more than their own uniformed "gut feelings".  That's just plain old common sense.

I'd feel better if we had a president who was credible in what he was saying about this crisis and stuck to the facts instead of seeing everything through his personal political lens.

Suppose you are referring to the briefings? Agree he often needs the "hook", jmho. Being honest I get tired of the national stuff. Run one nuts to watch it all day. Pay close attention to the local news night and morning. Have split time the last three weeks between Auburn and the PC Beach area. Both areas seem to be handling  this thing as directed.
