@DonDraper That would be out best in the recruiting site era & with what's left on our board it's a highly unlikely goal. We would have to hit on every top target on our board & get some ratings bumps on current commits just to have a chance at it..

Yeah last year was right at .91 and it was great. Just hoping lol

Rankings are subjective as you can tell by the differences in the three major services. That is why they use composite to balance things out to an extent. This year with the lack of summer camps where we see top players compete against other top players and some players opting out. Many players change a lot between junior year and senior year the Analysts won't have as much information to digest with this years seniors because of Covid-19. I think that will make their ratings some what suspect. How do you move a player up or down when you don't get to see him as a senior.  Junior film doesn't show what type player he has become if he was playing whether he got fitter and better or laid around and got worse.   

Ratings count when you look at overall team ratings they don't always count when looking at an individual player.

Multiple Auburn targets, 1 signee make big rise in rankings

The latest 247Sports football prospect rankings update was released Wednesday. Here’s a look at how Auburn signees, commits and targets fared.

***Auburn signees***

-No. 104 (down from 102): Lee Hunter, DT, Eight Mile (Ala.) Blount: Had 54 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2020.

-No. 210 (up from 211): Dematrius Davis, QB, Houston (Texas) North Shore: Davis finished 51-3 as a varsity starter and passed for more than 10,000 yards. In his final season, Davis was 177-of-252 passing for 3,553 yards, 37 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with 121 carries for 876 yards and 22 touchdowns.

-No. 244 (down from 243): Ahmari Harvey, S, Tallahassee (Fla.) FSU High: Harvey, who had an injured shoulder for several weeks, was unable to play the final month or so of the season. He had 16 total tackles with two interceptions and has returned two kickoffs for touchdowns this year. He also recorded nine catches for 123 yards.

-NEW 4-star: Hal Presley, WR, Mansfield (Texas) Summit: Presley had 46 receptions for 1,212 yards and 17 touchdowns this season. He averaged 26 yards per catch.

***Auburn commits***

-Moved up from a 90 to a 91 player rating: Tar’varish Dawson, WR/ATH, Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh: Dawson finished with 690 receiving yards and 290 rushing yards on 34 attempts. On defense, he had seven interceptions

***Auburn targets***

-No. 35 (up from 74): Trevin Wallace, LB, Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County: Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia are the teams to watch. 

-No. 117 (down from 115): Dylan Brooks, DE, Roanoke (Ala.) Handley: Vols signee who has asked for his release and could land at Auburn.

-NEW 4-star, No. 233 (was a 3-star): Dontae Balfour, CB, Starke (Fla.) Bradford County: Balfour finished the season with 25 catches for 428 yards -- and four interceptions -- one being a 100-yard pick-six. North Carolina is the favorite with Auburn and LSU pushing.

19COMMENTS

-NEW 4-star: Juwon Gaston, S, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver: Put together a monster season contributing on defense, offense and special teams. In total, he scored 10 of his 13 touchdowns via the return game while also making 96 tackles and picking off five passes. Auburn-South Carolina battle with the Tigers being the perceived favorite.

-4-star/rating stayed the same: Colby Smith, OT, Reidsville (N.C.) Rockingham County: Auburn is favored to land the former Vols commit.
