All that for nothin', $660 million flushed

Current news, courtesy of NPR (National Public Radio) 13 field hospitals were built to handle the virus at a cost of 660 million dollars. Six never had a single patient. The one in Chicago had 37 patients, and the one in New York had slightly over one thousand patients. The rest all had less than 50 patients. The three on the outskirts of New York all saw zero patients. The Navy's two wonderful hospital ships, capacity 1,000 beds each, have sailed away. The ship in New York saw 139 patients, the one in Los Angeles saw 37 patients. That was waste such as we've never seen before. Somebody is BSing us about this virus and for some reason our politicians keep on believing them. It's time to stop the madness!

If anybody reads the linked article, you'll get a kick out of those saying "we're leaving them up in case the virus comes back". These measures weren't needed the first time, why would they be needed now? That's nonsense.

Georgia has now been "open" for three weeks. Today one of the major Atlanta hospitals closed its COVID-19 department, lack of patients.

They wasted close to $20 million in Houston for a field hospital at NRG stadium that never got used.

Sad but true.

In the case of NYC, why would Cuomo put Covid-19 positive patients back in nursing homes if there were hospitals beds available?  Cuomo, the worst Governor in the U.S. hands down.
