The AG’s argument is under MN law if someone dies during the commission of a crime it’s 2nd degree murder and that they were aiding and abetting his assault— the fact that it continued after him repeatedly saying he couldn’t breathe and was dying and even after they couldn’t find a pulse makes that a pretty plausible argument in my opinion.
