Looks like an insurance policy in case Bo gets hurt.  I could also see him taking on the Gatewood spot as a short yardage specialist.

I did see someone make a comparison of “ Maybe he can be AU’s Taysom Hill”, which would be an intriguing concept.

This is the part where I don't focus on how we had a freakishly talented version of Hill last year but didn't actually use him, right?

I'm all for the signing and I am open to the idea that he can contribute. And I'm on board with major changes finally coming to the offense. But I gotta be honest. I'll be butthurt if Gus gives the Taysom Hill job he promised to Joey Gatewood to this guy instead. Better late than never, no offense to Loy, as long as we win, blah blah. I'd be butthurt.

Why be butt hurt?  Somebody has to be that short yardage stuff in the middle guy and JG is no longer here... So why not this guy...

That's why I said butthurt. To me, butthurt is unjustified/useless bitterness/disappointment/resentment. I was being self-deprecating. But honest.

Late to the topic but I like this guy.  Great size,  good experience and with Covid acting the way it still does,  we need backups.  Looks like just another multiple type weapon to me.

Good point. Applies to every position but QB is kind of an important one.
