Agree. Cowart was a bust but ultimately we still had success on the DL. A player of the caliber that we thought Ashley was going to be might've significantly changed our fortunes on offense during the years that he was/would have been here.

I'll never understand what happened with Raven Gray. I saw him in high school and he was by far the most impressive HS player I can recall. Then not much at AU, then the lies for money scam later. It appears that character matters more than physical ability.

I thought that Raven Gray has some knee problems that kept him from reaching potential( although character maybe as well)? Could be thinking of someone else though.....

As for other posters saying that he lied, eh, maybe, maybe not. It was crappy of those guys to speak out on HBO, but that doesn't mean they were lying. Certainly not any more than ol' Pine Box himself.

He did get some knee problems, but not that bad. His team mates didn't think too much of his attitude and effort while he was at AU. Then the lies to HBO for a little pocket money revealed his character flaws.
