Mikey 16,466
Former AU offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee is off to a great start as Miami's new OC. His team totaled 495 yards total offense and around 330 of that was rushing yards. The 'Canes scored 31 points while playing reserves in the latter stages of the game against UAB. It looked like a typical Lashlee/Malzahn offense of old, hurry up/ no huddle with emphasis on the power running game. I suppose one could question the level of the competition but Lashlee's offense made very few mistakes, which is a sign of solid coaching. The one Miami turnover was on a muffed punt. Miami finished last season 6-7 and lost to some inferior teams along the way. I suppose Lashlee and several other new coaches were brought in to right the ship. Good luck the rest of the way, Rhett!
