Seems like some allowance could/should be made if the kid decides to transfer out himself. Losing a scholly  on a guy that barely had a cup of coffee in Auburn seems silly, even for the NCAA

I agree schools should be allowed to file an appeal

Looks like the 2021 class is officially closed.

Everyone we take going forward counts against the 25 in 2022

A shame we only closed on 2 O-Linemen in this class and no incoming transfers. Can't move forward until the fix that line.

Considering where we were when Gus left this staff has done a pretty good job of beefing up a weak class.

Defense -Mixture freshmen and Transfer's

We added 7 DB's mixture of Freshmen and transfers, 7 D-line  2 transfers and balance freshmen and 1 LB Juco so on the whole a very good Defensive class.

Offense - all Freshmen

We added 1 QB, 2 WR's, 1TE, 1RB, 2OL we met most of our needs except of course O-Line.

Because of transfers or misses in this class we still have some needs to fill.

1 RB - at least for depth if we have injuries probably pick up one transfer to count against 22 class.

1 QB who is potential starter who can push Bo (Maybe Finley against 22 class).

1-2 OT types at least one a starter. - So far it looks like we will come up empty here. That makes next years 22 class super important we will need both quality and quantity and sadly may have to use transfers again.

This year with the mixture of new freshmen, transfers, new staff and returning players has a chance to have a very good defense this year. We have a strong returning LB Corp some good DB's returning and some 1st team type transfers along with depth type transfer coming in, and we have beefed up our D-line. Offense will depend on multiple things an improved Bo or a new starter via transfer (I still have hope for Bo), hard work and good coaching along with a more realistic offensive design will hopefully show improved O-line play, developing and use of our quality TE's should help, and we need at least 2 WR's to step up.

I think the new staff has found the talent they need to put up a great Defense and with a couple of easier early games to give us the time to work out the kinks. The Offense is the wild card. I saw some things I liked in A Day game and some things I didn't like.  The O especially needs the 1st two easier games to solidify the O-Line and hopefully build up the confidence of Bo and the WR's. I believe a good defense gives a team a chance to be good but if we don't have a significant improvement on O it will be a long season.

Agree.  It seems the only OL we went after was the Yale kid that Gus was recruiting and we tried to keep him interested.  He went to Penn State.

I'm not sure I've seen us mentioned about any other OL.

OL transfers are still a work in progress. The feeding frenzy for OTs has been wild so they don't really leak any names they're pursuing.

Five 4 stars

Eleven 3 stars

SIx transfers

Good first recruiting class on paper IMHO but 3 large needs not filled - OTs, an experienced (transfer) non slot WR, & a big poundable backup RB for Tank.

@Zeek

You REALLY do a fantastic job on these threads. They are chock full of solid info, all organized in one place, which allows us to easily and quickly keep up with what is going on. Thanks for all you do for the board, it is VERY much appreciated. War Eagle

He is one I've been waiting to hear about.

Aren't he and Jordan Ingram ex-teammates and really good friends?

Offensive Tackle is the key takeaway for me. I would love to see a PWO make it pay with earning a scholarship and start one day for his loyalty!!!

I despise the way scholarships work. None of these four contributed a single snap to Auburn. Would love to add these spots to the 2022 class.

With NIL, it won't matter soon enough
