Her Twitter says she is a 2023 graduate

True. My middle name is "typo". Ha! I get them mixed up at times, however, Is the recruits on campus now the '22 class? As there first season will be in '22.

The players that are signing on November 10, 2021 will begin classes in August 2022, and will play during the 2023 season.  The players that are juniors this year and are able to visit and commit will sign in November 2022, will begin classes in August 2023 and begin play during the 2024 season.

So, Thalia Martin will hopefully sign November 2022, her senior year, graduate 2023, begin class August 2023 and play the 2024 season.

EIS finished their player rankings last week, so I thought I would provide an update on the players committed to Auburn.

#16 - P/OF - Emmah Rolfe

#18 - C / UT - Skylar Elkins

#34 - 3B / C - Millie Roberts

#82 - IF / UT - Alexis Milanowski

EIS is getting increasingly criticized for their rankings due to the number of players ranked. There are actually around 250 players in the “Top 100” and around 30 players ranked in the “Top 10.” These critics also note a lot of favoritism when it comes to certain coaches, organizations, and colleges so take these rankings with a grain of salt.

Auburn has a smaller class this year than in years past. Roberts dropped a good number of spots without any listed reasoning, but all the others were fairly consistent from the previous iteration. All of our commits play for a team in the Georgia Impact organization.

We need Elkins to sign. Not sure of delay reason.

Skylar Elkins has now signed. Really high quality in this class. One exceptional pitcher and continued additions of offensive potential. Especially power.

I thought this was fun to watch and gives good perspective of what it looks like as a hitter.  Emmah Rolfe will wear #4 in orange and blue next season.  Watching this I suspect that by the time I decided to swing, the catcher would be throwing the ball back to the pitcher.

ExtraInnings Softball just released their 2022 softball updates. Auburn has 4 players committed, three of which are ranked in the top 20.

Millie Roberts - 3B/C - ranked #7

Skylar Elkins - C/UT - ranked #16

Emmah Rolfe - P/OF - ranked #18

Jenna Lorde - OF - ranked #103

Not sure how firm these commits are or how they will be affected with the extra year of eligibility for current players.

Just looked back through this thread . . . In April 2020, Jenna Lord(e) was committed.  Perhaps this was in error, since Lord played at Alabama this season.  In September 2020, Jenna Lorde had morphed into Jenna Nelson at the same ranking spot.  Jenna Nelson later signed with Penn State.  I only mention this because Jenna Lord entered the portal; don't know if she has found a new team yet.

Jenna Nelson and Madison Inscoe both “decommitted” but I believe we pulled their offers to make room for others.

This may have been mentioned, but Savanna Sikes from UGA is also transferring to Ole Miss.  In bigger news, Haley Lee from aTm has entered the portal.  She is their catcher and hit .405 with 15 homers (47 career) this year.  Not a good fit for us, but will be interesting to see where she goes.
