If I had a time machine I would go back 18 months and buy a few grand in Tesla leaps. Could have bought out Gus and been able to retire before 30.

I have made it very clear I support our coach as long as our players do.  I did that for Chizik and for Tubberville.  I am also just an optimistic person.  Leave me out of this if you are going to twist something.

I am done. I will not watch another game of AU coached by Gus. I can't do it. I love Auburn and Auburn Football and I have watched with passion and supported the program for my 30 years.  I watched every game in 2012 and didn't feel as apathetic as I do this season and really the last 3. 

There is no light at the end of this tunnel for me. Gus is lost. Taking 3 timeouts into half without trying to score. Saying 6-4 is a "solid year". Never once accepting any bit of responsibility. The fact that he thinks 6-4 is a solid year, that 4 losses is a solid year...that tells me everything i need to know about the future of this program.

The fact is..technically we shouldn't be 5-4. We should really be 4-5 if not 3-6. Arky beat us. Ole Miss beat us. UK could have beaten us. Who knows what happens if they get that TD call correct.

and folks wonder why our guys get out muscled and pushed around fairly often.  It usually gets blamed on the S&C guys. Which is still the HC responsibility.  My point is, Gus can't fire up a grill, much less elite athletes.  Hell, he won't even loose his mind on a ref when its obvious they need it.   Players take the mentality of their coach.

Whose responsibility to recruit QB's that won't over-throw wide-open receivers?  Whose responsibility is it to make sure QB's are fundamentally sound so that they can deliver those balls accurately?

How many QB's under Gus' tenure have we seen do this?  How many progressed instead of regressed?  

I'll add, why isn't Stove targeted more.  He is money with the ball in his hands, and has knack for getting open.  He is a play-maker not just a specialist WR

I love auburn, went to school there , earned a degree and got involved in the community. Football and family are the 2 most important things. I appreciate all of the good things gus has done at auburn but it's time. We need a culture change.

I get your point but also consider the totality of the game. Giving up 509 yards of offense, 313 of that on the ground and allowing 7/11 3rd-down efficiency...

Yes the coaches can't make the plays but it is becoming more and more apparent that the coaches are not preparing our players adequately and/or not putting them in the most advantageous position. It's a domino effect and I believe there's sufficient evidence now that the problem starts with the Head Coach.

I love the rest of the staff (save for a couple upgrades) but it's clear at this point Gus is the weakest link.

Maybe, just maybe, and I'm just spit ballin here, a well-prepared and well-coached team wouldn't make those mistakes repeatedly that lead to consistently losing 4 or more games a year?  Just off the top of my head.

This is why buyouts are ruining football. He has an absolutely criminal safety net. His job performance is below even that of others who HAVE been fired. It’s pretty clear he thinks he’s untouchable because of the buyout. Auburn Athletics should have him mopping floors or something instead of coaching. Literally just make him do something else instead of be the head coach. Don’t fire him, just love him to a different post. Wishful thinking, I know.

However, he did hire the coaches who recruited and coached the players responsible for those things. When does “The buck stops here” apply to Gus. There is absolutely no excuse after eight years to build his program. The great coaches around the country rotate coaches and players regularly and still maintain a level of superiority.

At what point does annual QB regression, lack of recruiting, and horrible play-calling and game management fall on the CEO? If you go to a restaraunt with poor service, they fire all the waiters and hostesses and rehire and entire new staff...service just as bad....at some point you realize it is a management problem.
