Serious question, would getting together a petition for everyone to sign saying we pledge to pull our support if a candidate is hired under these stipulations help?

Depends on how much $ is behind those signatures

Buddy who is a high school head coach in Alabama said he was told that Clark and Auburn hit a wall due to Auburn requiring him to keep Steele and Garner.

That wall already has Billy Napier's forehead print in it.

If anyone thinks that coaches are turning down the Auburn job based on what fans are doing on Twitter, get real.

The college football coaching world isn't all that large of a fraternity. These guys talk. If something isn't right at Auburn, coaches aren't learning about it on Twitter. Carry on.

this.

all that needed to be said was, we want you to hire so and so, or we would like the final say in who you bring in. That's enough to scare off any coach.

The BOT members who started this charade need to resign. The university and fans deserved more than this.

So, when does the BoT wise up and realize people don’t want to coach for them with those ridiculous stipulations? Their hands in the pot are more important than success in the sport? So sick of them.

According to rivals Bill Clark is off the table as well. Wants to pick his own staff.

Bwahahahahahaha!

If it’s all true about these coaches saying no because of the BoT’s demands, I’m glad they’re getting pied. Money ain’t everything despite what the BoT seems to think.

Wasn't the Louder-induced SACS probation supposed to have addressed this? If this is really what's going on (neither I nor anybody I know has firsthand information), Auburn runs the risk of getting drageed into another 'investigation'. This is called "death by a thousand cuts."
