Man can coach.   If he is given the chance that Gus was given (8yrs) you will see a better product on the field

By given the chance, do you mean being hamstringed by boosters and having to take whatever staff he is told to?

Cause if so, I'm not sold we see that much better of a product.

That was in the “whatever terrible conference Boise plays in.” This is the SEC... Big boy football. He’s never coached at this level.

Neither has Napier, Brown, or whatever G5 darling people were ready to hire.

Uggg, unimpressive.  This is the hire you make if zombies ate the brains of the coaches at LSU, Bama, Notre Dame, USC, Florida, Georgia, and Michigan and they were all in the market looking for coaches.  Auburn is literally the only school looking for a coach.  Ugggg.

Can you tell me why? Is it because it isn't Steele? Sell me on it

69-19 at Boise.  Has won four conference titles between his time there and Arkansas State.  Recruiting ties in Texas.  Still only 44.  And he can coach the hell out of QBs.

Harsin has won more NY6 bowl games than Malzahn and the same amount that Tuberville did during a 10 year tenure here.  Got a better argument?

I made no argument. Only highlighted the fact that this dude, even at this point. Is no urban.

RIR said that this is definitely AGs hire and not the boosters so that alone gives me hope.

Don’t you know that’s absolutely impossible, because the BOT would never let them do it etc. etc. etc. (Sarcasm)

Honestly I was starting to really get worried we were gonna hire Neal brown. I won’t be sold until we see if he has autonomy and can build a good staff that can compete in recruiting especially, if not, we may get eaten alive. Thankful it’s not Steele or Brown and will def give harsin a chance. Really hope the PTB doesn’t pull anymore crap.

Yes I agree and hopefully he can clean house and keep who HE wants to keep if anyone... honestly he should escort Steele out though. If he is allowed to bring in who he wants then we will know Allen Green won out over the boosters which is a win for our program.

I can be okay with this. New blood. No ties to Auburn.  Only concern is recruiting in the south against the big boys of the SEC.... I'm on board. Thank God no Steele!

I can if he gets rid of Steele and Garner.

I'm not pretending.  I AM excited.  This is a much better hire than many are wanting to give credit for.

He’s sure been a winner both as a HC and in many years as an OC at Boise.  I’m good with the hire.  Looking forward to hearing from him and seeing how his staff shapes up.

I am cautiously optimistic. If he gets autonomy could be big.

If he retains steele I will really question if he was given autonomy.
