Found it! Yesssirrr. Number 1 ranked ILB in the country as a recruit for 247. Number 3 in the composite. Man we need to get the jackson-olin pipeline cooking again!!! Lol.

You mean his natural position from high school that he should of been playing all along!? Lol. He was the number 1 ILB in the country in 247's personal rankings I believe as a recruit.

Moultry seems to have zero awareness on the field. Non-existent understanding of the game and really bad instincts. His move to DE seems to corroborate that premise.

So I'm looking at the scholarship numbers and with the kids we have signed we're sitting at 79 scholarships from my count. Meaning we technically only have 6 scholarship spots left despite having roughly 13 recruiting spots left. I could see some more departures with roster management.

We have 16 OL (3-deep with one extra)

6 TEs (seems like we could lose 2 here and be alright)

17 DL (this seems like the most overloaded spot that's a 4-deep +1 if you're keeping 4 DL on the field)

7 LBs (need 1 more to have a two deep in a true 3-4 type defense)

2 RBs (need 3 more for depth with our track record of injuries)

4 QBs (that's plenty considering Sawyer Pate could get a walk-on scholly in case of emergency we might benefit from letting Loy walk)

10 WRs (depends how many 4 WR sets we're running I think this is a fair number without much adjusting needed)

11 DBs (almost a 3-deep we need more quality here with there being a lot of DBs that we likely don't want seeing meaningful playing time)

1 K (from what I can tell Carlson is the only scholly kicker)

2 P (Marshall and Chapman both have one I believe)

I don't think there is a ruling yet on how the scholarships are going to work with last season technically not counting toward eligibility.  So not sure how ANY team is expected to not be over the 85 limit.

If memory serves (questionable) he was always considered an edge rusher and always destined for DE. I just went back and looked at his high school highlight reel where we played ILB. He plays like Little Ball of Hate (Blackmon), but bigger. Once he zeros in on the ball he just runs in and destroys people. I'm hoping that putting him back at ILB will give him a chance to meet his potential and our LB corps someone who can hold the point of attack against OL. Pappoe and McClain are great, but not big. They got put on skate a few times last season by OL.

How many are Seniors that do not count part of 85?

This always made me so mad. His tape was insane and I was so excited for him to come to AU.....right up until they moved him to DL. I was hoping he’d transfer after that and find somewhere that would play him at ILB. He could have been one of the top in the country IMO. I hope he has a breakout year more than anyone because Auburn’s old staff absolutely misused him and possibly ruined his career.

That adds up to 76, not 79.

Good for him. Glad to see it’s not one of our yearly rivals.

sorry if already mentioned somewhere, but if so I haven't seen it yet - any word from Tyrone Truesdell regarding returning or not?  I know seniors won't necessarily announce anything but curious.
