Also, if the want to go to a program that's about to be on probation they're more than welcome to make that dumb decision.

And no one is in portal so wouldn’t that be tampering by Steele and Tennessee??

Put Tutt back in the DB list. Sherwood is now official but he was believed to be gone for quite some time.

Did you or anybody else ever get solid info about Tutt either signing or not signing with an agent?

AUFam: What does the Pruitt firing and Steele serving as interim mean for our defensive players?  A few staffing scenarios at play that could affect us...  Steele could get the HC job and bring Garner and TWill with him.  Steele could get the DC job and still bring Garner and TWill with him.  Gus could get the HC job and bring TWill.  Any of those scenarios could mean multiple D players transfer over there.

Possible, but Fulmer is gone as well. The fan base is already grumbling about Steele. Garner was announced as there as of today. It’s quite a mess. A player that knows what’s happening there and still wants to be part of that instead of what Harsin’s building, probably is best served to pack their bags. Just my opinion. War Eagle 🦅

From reports I 100% doubt TWill would ever willingly work with Steele again.

I'm assuming this is MEANT to be ironic right?  One never knows, these days.

* Not leaving because of Harsin.

* Leaving because Harsin would make us earn our jobs.

Updating Auburn's scholarship chart after draft decisions, transfers

ByNATHAN KING 90 minutes ago

New Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin's staff has some holes to fill to reach 85 scholarships on the Tigers' current roster. With national signing day two weeks away, Auburn has 72 scholarship players on the team currently after some NFL draft declarations and a few outgoing transfers.

One senior, linebacker T.D. Moultry, has said he is returning for the 2021 season by using the NCAA's free year of eligibility. Another linebacker, Chandler Wooten, is coming back, as well, after opting out of the 2020 season.

Two other seniors, Eli Stove and Jordyn Peters, opted to turn pro instead of coming back, and two more transferred in Big Kat Bryant and Daquan Newkirk. The most notable senior from last year whose 2021 intentions are still unknown is starting defensive tackle Tyrone Truesdell. For the purposes of Auburn's current scholarship chart, we'll assume all players who were seniors in 2020 will not be with the program this coming season.

It appears Auburn's two biggest areas of need heading into the fall are on offense. With only two scholarship running backs on the entire and one offensive lineman in its 2021 class, Harsin and company will likely need to hit the recruiting trail or transfer portal for another ball-carrier in the backfield or blocker up front. Harvard transfer Eric Wilson decommitted from Auburn but would likely compete for a starting job if Harsin could bring him back on board in a couple weeks.

Auburn has also been a player for a couple transfer defensive backs — most notably North Carolina's Patrice Rene, who committed to Rutgers last week.

It probably wouldn't hurt Auburn to add an experienced transfer at wide receiver or defensive tackle, either. The Tigers' most experienced wideout currently on the roster is senior Shedrick Jackson, who caught just six passes in 2020. The rest of the receiving corps is set to be all underclassmen. Auburn will be inexperienced on the interior of the defensive line, as well, if Truesdell doesn't return.

Fans will have to wait and see what Harsin does with the remainder of the 2021 class, and how much he'll rely on the transfer market. For now, let's take a peek at how Auburn's scholarship roster looks at the moment, with the 2021 NFL draft deadline having passed Monday. We'll update the chart after the 2021 class is complete.

That works for me 110%. That is the only way a team of any type becomes a better entity. That playing a favorite by a coach is always completely fallible and a losing proposition.

If T-Will is half the coach he's built up to be he'll have better options than UTk, right?

I was in the minority about Gus in 2014/2015.

With him your problems were probably football related
