I’d love a total white out. Take the Stormtrooper uniforms to a new level.

All white uni with white facemask, white outlined eagle and flat or matte navy blue helmet.

Hopefully there wont be too much angst that I started this thread. Thought it would be fun to help pass the time waiting for coaches to be named.

I've taken a harder look at Boise St since hiring Harsin and I gotta admit that I like some of their helmets. I like their chrome outlined bronco and thought we could do a chrome on Navy helmet with a chrome outlined eagle similar to the generic helmet below. I wouldnt like a colored beak though. Maybe just an orange chrome eye on the eagle.

Why would the Auburn Tigers be sporting a chrome outlined eagle on their helmets? We are the Tigers. "War Eagle!" is our battle cry. (The national media gets confused enough as it is.)

I was there...when they came out for kickoff in these the student section looked for a place to hide.  Posers look for gimmicks.

Is that Joe Sullivan?

On the other hand teams like Oregon and Clemson have helped build their brands  with the alt unis. Would you support an alt look once a year or are you a ‘never alt-er’ ?

Clemson doesn't use alternates. Their tiger paw helmet has never changed. And their use of orange/purple unis have been around a long time.

Oregon's brand is lack of a brand. Ironically, you can count on them to be consistently inconsistent.

I actually like the "throwback" navy jersey. It is not the extreme modern look of the others, but at least it means something.

They wear purple for military appreciation every year.

Embrace it. We are "The War Eagles"

I am not averse to an alternate uniform used sparingly and strategically, but I my three decades of branding and corporate image experience taught me there is value in the brand consistency, especially with a valuable brand like Auburn enjoys. As long as the alternate uniforms can be visually tied to the established Auburn brand and they don't do an Oregon "uniform of the week," then I am down with it. I am a big baseball fan and love the classic uniform look many teams use today. I think back on the trendy uniforms of the 70s like the Braves and Brewers baby blue pullovers, the Padres yellow and brown, the White Sox half collars and the Astros' multicolored stripes and I throw up a little.

And I think Alabama and Penn State's unis show the imagination of a dung beetle. There's tradition and then there's just not trying.

@Beaker I personally loved that helmet design when I saw Navy use it for the Army-Navy game. But since an Auburn version would be criticized as a Navy knockoff, I would prefer something more original.

But that isn't new. It's a regular uniform they wear. Like Florida's orange unis. We don't have a regularly rotated alt uni.

I'd only be down for alternates on A-Day. Or an orange uni/face mask. Biggest mistake a brand can make is to go away from an iconic look.

There's a reason the Packers, Red Sox, Yankees, USC, Cowboys, Celtics, Steelers, Penn State, Alabama, etc are seen as the biggest brands in American sports - it's because they are bigger than modern trends.

We should keep that attitude as well.

Ran out of likes but, this!!!

We've got a classic uni.  Don't water down the franchise.

Im fine with just an A-day uni change. We could do 2 different styles that day. One for offense and one for defense.

Pre game, on field warmups in an alternate color and then come out for the game in traditional gear would be crazy cool IMO. As a soccer coach,  I've also seen that create a tremendous mental shift in players - this ain't practice any more.
