Football Performance Center

Auburn's new Football Performance Facility is now open for bid.  It has been designed by the architectural team of Goodwyn, Mills, and Cawood of Montgomery with support from HOK Architects of Kansas City, Mo.

The $60M+, 2-story, 165,000 SF, facility will be built near the corner of Biggio Drive and Samford Avenue, where the old outdoor track is located on campus. 

Based on the drawings, key features of the football-only facility will include 2 outdoor fields, an indoor practice field, weight room, team meeting room, position rooms, war rooms, circular locker room, all staff meeting room, offensive/defense staff meeting rooms, offensive and defensive bullpens, coaches offices, hydrotherapy/plunge pools, fuel bars, barber shop, flight simulator, recording studios, helmet studio, innovation labs and more.  There's also dedicated spaces for compliance, video/production and nutrition.

As of last public report (November, 2020-ish) over the half the funds have been raised through private donations.  Regardless, all indications are efforts are full speed-ahead.  With a 2-year build, the Football Performance Center could be ready as soon as the 2023 season.

Seems like they just built new football facilities, but that was 10 years ago or so and if don't build some new you don't recruit.

The current Athletics Complex which is not solely dedicated to Football, was built in 1989.

I do! And love the vintage logos throughout.  Glad we finally get one, but the other items were something I didn't see in others. I'm actually impressed with our facility.  Great design.
