I don't think it's intentional, but at this point, it's survival. Most of the guys saying what they're saying also has publicly praised the guy whenever possible 

There's at least 4 other receivers that, while not the most skilled guys ever, should've found a spot somewhere if it wasn't for Gus mismanagement. 

You know how bad it is that it's a shared sentiment that Slayton SAVED these guys from continued disrespect and presumptions???? Bama had that with RBs and tOSU is getting close to it with QBs, but you feel like a special level of bad when its happening to you

probably had the two most depressing "almost"s you could have...one season, have the most interesting regular season ever...then you lose bc of a cramp, a guy scores too quickly, and a 5'11 CB gets mossed by a 6'5 fella who literally peaked at that moment 

the...beat the dawg ish out of the ACTUAL two best teams in football....and end up being made an eternal laughingstock by some once middling school from Orlando
