It's getting hard to keep up with this staff already. They are going after WRs all over the place too.

Keep it going...

Thanks guys for the updates...👍

Auburn football: 3 high-impact targets for class of 2023

Recruiting never ends, as Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin says, and the coaching staff is already gearing up for the next several seasons, not just 2021. Offers for the class of 2022 are exploding, but the Tigers are already going after three major targets in the recruiting class of 2023.

Though the recruiting class of 2023 has zero commits so far, the Tigers have already put out almost 60 offers to various position players.

The first is Karmello English, a wide receiverwhose home is just down the road from the Plains in Phenix City, AL. The 6’5″ 185-pound athlete is not yet rated on 247 Sports but has already received several offers from Power 5 schools such as Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, and Texas A&M.

Blessed to receive a ⭕️ffer from Auburn University 🦅🧡@DemetricDWarren@ChadSimmons_@Mansell247@rivalsfbcamps@CHSREDDEVILS@AL7AFootball@HamiltonESPN@Keith247Sports @GasCrew7v7@AuburnFootballpic.twitter.com/8QvEZpdDJf

The next class of 2023 offer to watch out for was extended to another wide receiver, Hykeem Williams from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 6’3″ 195-pound prospect is being heavily recruited by the Florida schools (FSU, Miami, UF, UCF, etc.) but has also received offers from around the SEC, including Alabama and LSU.

Blessed To Receive An Offer From Auburn University 🙏🏾💯🏈@HamiltonESPN @JohnGarcia_Jr@StranFootball @DemetricDWarren@clintbrew247 @ABLichtenstein@JerryRecruiting @SleeperAth1etes@_5starathlete @CoachCwillpic.twitter.com/3olJ7jWVFN

Bryan Harsin and his staff weren’t playing around when it came to this offer from a couple of days ago. The Auburn football program extended an offer to Lebbeus Overton, a strong-side defensive end out of Alpharetta, GA who is already ranked four stars by 247 Sports and is widely considered to be the top overall prospect in the class of 2023.

Overton has already received double-digit offers from multiple Power 5 schools such as Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan, and LSU among others. According to his scouting report from 247 Sports, Overton has major play strength and his physicality and athletic ability make him a difficult target to block. He finished the 2020 season with 70 total tackles, 21.5 sacks, and 38 tackles for loss.

It’s good to see the Harsinal going after strong athletes early and getting an edge up on competitors when it comes to getting these top prospects. Hopefully by the time the recruiting class of 2023 is ready to schedule visits and make decisions the coaches will be able to welcome the recruits to the Plains and show them what the Auburn family looks like.

Names to know in the Top247 for 2023

The updated Top247 for the football class of 2023 was released Wednesday and while there no doubt will be many changes to this list between now and the time these players sign their Letters of Intent it's certainly an excellent early look at this outstanding group. You can find the complete Top247 HERE.

Here are some names for Auburn fans to know (ranking first) ...

-No. 1: Lebbeus Overton, DE, Milton (Ga.): The Tigers offered the country's top 2023 recruit March 23. Being that he plays a priority position and resides near Atlanta, one can reasonably assume he's a top Auburn target. There is only one Crystal Ball pick for Overton at this time, and it's for Oklahoma. Most think it's too soon to make a strong projection although Alabama certainly is a program to watch.

-No. 2: Peter Woods, DT, Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson: Woods checks in as the highest-ranked member of what appears to be a fairly strong 2023 in-state class.

-No. 3: James Smith, DT, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver: His impressive offer list includes the likes of Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State.

-No. 9: Dante Moore, QB, Detroit (Mich.) King: Auburn offered Moore on March 10. Michigan and Notre Dame are two early teams to watch.

No. 14: Tony Mitchell, CB, Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson: Alabama is a heavy Crystal Ball favorite. The Tigers offered Jan. 25, not long after coach Bryan Harsin's staff was hired.

-No. 22: Richard Young, RB, Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh: Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma are all in the hunt, but Young also seems to be fairly high on Auburn, the school former teammate Tar'varish Dawson, a receiver/athlete, signed with in February. Young visited the Tigers with Dawson earlier this year and told Auburn Undercover he had a great trip.

-No. 28: Vic Burley, DE, Warner Robins (Ga.): A star at the recent Under Armour camp north of Atlanta, Burley told us that day he hadn't spoken to the new Auburn staff. But given his ranking, and Auburn's recruiting success in Burley's area, we think he's one to track.

-No. 34: AJ Harris, CB, Phenix City (Ala.) Glenwood School: One of the biggest risers in the 2023 class, Harris picked up a Tigers offer in February. Most see Georgia as the early favorite.

-No. 62: Dylan Lonergan, QB, Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood: The previous Auburn staff offered the standout Georgia quarterback, but it's not yet known where he sits on the new staff's board. That said, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo -- along with some other key people at Auburn -- follow Lonergan on Twitter. His father played quarterback at Penn State.

-No. 71: Kelby Collins, DE, Gardendale (Ala.): Auburn is very much a factor with this top-100 recruit as the new staff recently re-offered him. Once the NCAA's recruiting dead period ends, look for Collins to visit the Tigers.

-No. 103: Cayden Lee, WR, Powder Springs (Ga.) Hillgrove: One of the top recruits in Georgia, Lee is a standout for Cam Newton's 7-on-7 team.

-No. 115: Tomarrion Parker, SDE, Phenix City (Ala.) Central: Auburn offered in January and absolutely is a program to watch.

11COMMENTS

-No. 123: Tackett Curtis, LB, Many (La.) Just about every Power 5 in the country has offered Curtis in March, including Auburn.

-No. 151: Karmello English, WR, Phenix City (Ala.) Central: The Tigers recently offered this emerging standout and have to be considered among the early favorites.

Sure would be good to see a top-100 OL, or two, on that list!

The state of TN is ripe for picking with UT and Vandy basically a dumpster fire.   Friend should be all over any OL in the that region.

I like how we are pursuing TX kids before TAMU gets to becoming more dominant than they are in TX.  Also, U of Texas will get an initial bump in excitement.

@toohottie yes but also post what class they’re in when they aren’t in the same class as the thread title. For now include 2024 offers in the 2023 thread.

So is English really 6'5" because his profile said he's 6 foot.

Florence has a very very good corner coming out. Wish we had a strong relationship with the area. The Florence area consistently produces high quality athletes and if someone would just pay attention to the area we could have a head start year in and year out on a bunch of guys.
