Can't keep Bliss without a hit for two games in a row and he gets a leadoff single.

Wow, Miller strikes out, Bliss tries to steal second and the ball gets away from 2nd and he would have gotten to 3rd but Miller is called for interference and Bliss is out at second.

Woley strikes out. 3 more outs and we got the win!

Lead-off single for bama. Next batter hits a grounder to Bliss and he drops it but is luckily able to get the out at 2nd.

Wild pitch and bama runner goes to 2nd.

Error on Moore and bama scores a run. 5-4 UA. We just can't make things easy for ourselves.

Uncharacteristic defensive mistakes.....Tigers seemed a little stressed tonight. After everything that's happened so far this season you really can't blame them for feeling the pressure to win in Turdistan.. 

So nice that they were able to hang in there and BEAT BAMMER!!!

Maybe it's  just me but it seems like we have had more errors than normal. But who cares when we beat bammer.

Nope, not more than normal.  2019 we had 67 errors in 66 games for just over 1 error per game. Fielding % was .973 for the year.

We've had 27 errors in 31 games so far in 2021 for .87 errors per game. Fielding % so far has been .976.

Edit: Should also add this doesn't include small miscues that aren't actually errors. Like Bliss dropping the grounder after a bad hop so he doesn't get a double play but still gets an out. I feel like this year has been pretty good defensively. And some of the plays from Moore, Bliss, Ware, and Ward have been so outstanding.

But a bummer.....our #1 Equestrian Team got beat by #7 Baylor in the NC playoffs snapping a string of 47 wins. Still a bright spot in our overall team sports.

Not sure what they are doing, but the bama pitcher is taking a number from the coach and looking at a wristband before every pitch. That is illegal, pitcher must be on the rubber to get the pitch call. Catcher is throwing up a handsign, but it’s quick and not legible. Even with that, he is taking a partial sign while not on the rubber. It is every pitch, so wasting time too.  Can’t do this, Butch should complain.  Anyone know the rule about a pitcher taking the sign?

Bama going through pitchers quick. Already on their 3rd and we've only had 2 outs in the 2nd. A lot of walks have given us a lot of opportunities. Williams flies out for out 3 but it's 5-2 Auburn going to the bottom of the 2nd. Hope Gonzalez can bounce back from a 3 hit, 2 run first inning.

Lead-off single for bama, advanced to 2nd on wild pitch, advanced to 3rd on another wild pitch. Ground out but the runner scores. 5-3 Auburn. Really hope we have someone warming up before Gonzalez gives up 2-3 more runs. He just doesn't have the stuff to be a weekend starter right now.

Edit: Bright on in relief for Gonzalez who only goes 1.1 innings.

Bright comes in and gets a strikeout and a ground out to end the inning. Moore, Howell, Hill up to bat for Auburn in the 3rd.

Hill gets a 2 out single but nothing else doing. Bright wins a 11-pitch battle with a strikeout, then gives up a 1 out walk. Gets the next batter to fly out but gives up a 2-run homer. Tied ball game 5-5.

Bama follows up with a single but Bright gets out of the inning on a 3-2 strikeout. Up to the offense to have another high scoring game to make up for our pitching.

Bright is very talented but he still has a lot to learn. Same with Gonzales. I hope summer leagues give them some valuable time on the bump to refine things.

Ward sends one right back to where it came from for a single up the middle. Bliss does the same thing, bama pitcher gets his glove on this one but no throw at 1st. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs for the 2, 3, and 4 hitters.

Edit: Miller hits it hard but right at the CF.

Glavine in to pitch for Bright.

Moore with a nice snag on a liner for out 1.

Glavine with the strikeout on the nice changeup.

Bliss with a high throw but they said Miller kept his foot on the bag. I think this is definitely gonna get reviewed.

Edit: Call stands, out at first and a quick 1-2-3 inning for Glavine.

Ward strikes out on pitch way down.

Sigh. The announcer jinx works wonders for bama. Talking the entire at-bat about how Bliss isn't a threat to hit into a double play and then he does. Missed opportunity there.
