Mass shootings...

CNN had an article that stated there have been 45 mass *shootings* in the last month:

You probably haven’t heard of most of these as were mass *shootings* and about of those are mass *murders*.  In recent years the media has distinguished mass shootings (4 or more people shot) and mass murders (4 or more people killed) as now the numbers can be larger to get their point across.

Four of those have been widely covered by the media; Indy, Orange, Ca., Boulder and Atlanta.  The other 3, not so much.  One was a murder suicide on April, 3 in Dallas, a person killing his parents and 3 others on March 28th and on April 7, the day before Biden announced his proposed gun legislation, a Dr. and his wife, two grandchildren and two HVAC workers were gunned down at the Dr.’s home in Rock Hill, SC.

I’m not sure how the media decides what to spread as national news, but it seems inconsistent at best.

Are there more mass shootings than normal?  I really can’t say as not many layman track these things, so we can only read articles when the media post them.  That in it self tends to only rear it’s ugly head when the media is driven to reports such things.  JMO.
