One year offensive assistant and one as QB coach? Doesn't sound like an OC hire. You are correct in that it is a risk, along the lines of Brady IMO. I would be good with the choice due to Experienced offensive input from the rest of the staff. I assume this would be an inside info kind of thing among coaching circles if so. It just seems like a big move and big $$ for someone with this level of coaching experience; admittedly being on the outside looking in.
