Wonder if some AD will take a chance on him or is his reputation so tarnished that he might just hang it up. Either way he might be the worst college coach to turn NFL coach in history by not even lasting the whole season.

Absolutely they would. 

Meyer wasn't doing anything different than what he always did at Florida and Ohio State, it's just that none of that transferred over well to the NFL where he wasn't an absolute dictator over impressionable, powerless kids and where he didn't have the benefit of being able to get vastly better talent than 90% of the teams he played against. 

Also most college teams don't have much media scrutiny around them and what their coaches are doing unless a national publication like the Athletic or something started poking around.

It must have been a really toxic environment in Jacksonville. The owner just came out the other day and said he wouldn't make any rash decisions. So i figure he must have got wind of some bad stuff to fire him before the season was even over. I'm sure someone would give him another shot but would a top school do it or will he have to take a step back for now?

I would give Freeze a chance before Petrino or Urban.........lost any and all respect for Urban after his sketchy exit from Florida.
