Baseball vs Yale series

Recommended Posts

Rambusch grounds out to SS for out 1. Moore first pitch swinging and grounds out to 2B.

DiChiara gets the 2 out rally started with a walk! Dyal with a fly out to RF to end the 6th.

Wade is coming into pitch for Bright. Great night for Bright going 6 scoreless innings.

Wade comes in and gets a strikeout for the first out. 4 pitch walk though gives Yale another runner. Mound visit and Wade's night is done and John Armstrong is coming on in relief.

No double play opportunity as the runner steals second. Batter was looking to bunt but the pitch was very far in and low, no chance for Dyal to throw the runner out.

First strike out for Armstrong, the 8th of the night for Tiger pitchers.

Game is no longer tied as Armstrong gives up a double to RF.

1-0 Yale :(

New pitcher for Yale and LaRue draws a 4 pitch walk. Yale pitcher starts with 6 straight balls and his day is done. New, NEW pitcher for Yale and he'll start with a 2-0 count on Howell.

Yale pitcher finally gets a strike but then he comes back and throws 2 balls to Howell. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs.

Brown with a sac bunt right back to the pitcher but he chooses not to try to get the lead runner and both runners advance!

Foster with a battle, draws the count to 3-2, and then gets a single to RF. BOTH RUNNERS SCORE!!!!

2-1 AUBURN!!!

Foster gets thrown out trying to steal. Looks like it might have been a bunt but the ball was high and Hall brings the bat back. Review in coming, the tag looked late. Will edit post what the result is.

Edit: Call is upheld and that's the 2nd out.

Edit 2: Hall strikes out looking but Auburn does what it needs to do with some late inning runs. 2-1 Auburn going to the 8th!

Carlson in to pitch for Armstrong.

DEEEEEP fly ball to LF right at the warning track. Loud out 1.

Strike out for out 2. But A BOMB over the monster! :(

Tied game, again.

Reaction to the HR ought to motivate some guys in O&B.

Moore strikes out looking. DiChiara lines out to RF. He hit it hard but the RF made a good running play near the warning track. Dyal strikes out to end the inning. Bats came alive at the end of the game.

Lets end it now! Mullins will be the one to try to close this game out!

3-2 Auburn

Yale trying to bunt but weren't able to get it down in play. Passed ball and the runner goes to 2nd. No double-play opportunity and tying run in scoring position. Mullins strikes out the batter for out 1.

Making it very interesting here in the 9th.

Mullins is missing badly on some of these pitches. Hudson out to the mound to talk to Mullins.

Whatever Hudson said didn't work as Mullins gives up a double down the RF line. Runner scores and the game is tied at 3. Leadoff walks hurting like always.

Mullins gets a swinging strikeout to get out of the jam. Lucky to still be tied.

LaRue, Howell, and Ware are up to bat. Can Howell walk it off twice today?

LaRue strikes out swinging. :(

Howell just misses a 3-1 pitch and fouls it straight back. No Howell walk-off as he flies out. 2 down and Ware's first at bat after coming in the game for Brown.
