Well deserved! 

Behind four multi-hit performances and ridiculous numbers at the plate, Makayla Packer was selected as the Southeastern Conference Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
 
Packer shares the award with Missouri's Casidy Chaumont and marks Packer's first SEC weekly of her career. Packer is the first Tiger to be named SEC Player of the Week since Alyssa Rivera on March 2, 2020.
 
The Chattanooga, Tennessee, native started all six contests in centerfield for the Tigers and was a threat to opposing teams from the top spot in the lineup.
 
Packer held a .667 average at the plate over Auburn softball's 6-0 week. She led the Tigers with 10 runs scored, 12 hits and four steals. Packer drove in four runs and slugged three doubles and her team-leading fifth home run to record a 1.000 slugging percentage. The sophomore also added a team high .700 on-base percentage.
 
With multi-hit performances in four of Auburn's six contests, Packer extended her hit streak to seven consecutive games. Defensively, Packer was perfect with nine putouts.
 
On the base paths, Packer swiped four bases and now stands a perfect 26-for-26 in stolen base attempts in her career. She stands tied for 15^th in program history in career steals with Tiffany Howard (2013-16).

Following her big weekend at the plate, Packer leads in the SEC in runs scored (23) while also ranking second in total bases (43), fourth in steals (10), sixth in home runs (5) and eighth in both hits (22) and batting average (.478)

I had been thinking that she had a major impact on the weekend. She deserves the recognition.  She can impact a game in so many ways.
