Makes sense considering a lot of turnover on baseball squads from year to year. Testing lineups etc. Now if we come back and do it again through the next week or so then it may be something deeper. Almost nobody is playing a lot of top caliber teams at this time of year. Ole Miss lost to Oral Roberts. MSU has lost 7 games, Vandy has played one good team - OSU - and lost the series. TN and KY are doing pretty well but it almost always cycles up and down in baseball. Middle TN is not completely without talent either, btw. And Auburn's best hitter is at about 50% right now. AUlurker 178 Posted March 15, 2022 Share Posted March 15, 2022 MTSU was a .240 team but you wouldn't know that from the series. We have to figure out our starting situation. Bright got shelled in conference play after dominating in non-con last year. Gonzalez has a blister and Armstrong has been terrible the last couple starts. My guess is that Skipper gets the start on Thursday and we'll see about Gonzalez on Friday. If not, Armstrong will probably get one more shot at starting against Mississippi.
