Editor, Register-Mail: The statement that "No one is above the law," is BS. Anyone who didn't think O.J. was not guilty or that Trump hasn't committed felonies or crimes has their heads somewhere other than on their shoulders. Examples are, Mike Cohen, Trump's ex-lawyer has stated under oath that Trump was guilty of numerous felonies and violations of the law. Another recent example, Mark Pomerantz, leading criminal investigator in Manhattan on the charges concerning Donald Trump, resigned after a disagreement with the district attorney on the charges. Also resigning was Carrie Dunne, another prosecutor, both saying there was no doubt that Trump was guilty of numerous felonies and crimes and no doubt he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

If you elect Republicans in the majority in November, get ready for numerous more years of corruption and coverup of the most corrupt man that ever obtained the White House. Obviously Trump is trying to run out the calendar in order to try to obtain a Republican Congress and you can bet your life that they will stop all investigations in the corruption of Donald Trump. This is a man who has torn up papers in the White House, some of which people are still trying to piece together and some he has flushed down the toilet. We will never know what they were. All this is on record. If Trump manages to slip through all this, like he has numerous charges, the Republican cult is as guilty as he is.

We have people who say they served in the armed forces, in intelligence service and still back Trump. Good Lord! Does that make you feel good and sleep good at night?

We need term limits in Congress. It will go a long way to help alleviate some of the corrupt politicians that are now a part of Congress. We need to get a breath of clean air occasionally , term limits would help.

 

Finally, so "no one is above the law ", we shall see. I personally think they are if you have a lot of money or know people in power. — Fred Stevens, Galesburg

i agree with pretty much everything said. and i agree no one should be above the law, period. this is right or left
