This is a huge opportunity for Rambusch and Howell being experienced going against this freshman pitcher. Catcher saves a wild pitch on the first one but a wild pitch on the 2nd pitch and runners move up! No double play opportunity any more! He evens the count at 2-2 before throwing the third ball. Fly out to CF on the warning track and a runner scores. Would have liked to get that hit but a run scores nonetheless. Pierce moves to 3rd. Catcher comes out to talk to the pitcher and stall for time. After a couple minutes of the catcher and pitcher talking, now the coach comes out and the entire infield comes to the mound. Fly out to left center and Howell went a long way to make that catch! Runners can't advance! FC, runner out at 2nd. Runners on the corner now.
