Texas A&M QB competition still up in the air heading into Spring game

AUBURN, Alabama — A defense-oriented day ended with some offensive flash Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium, as sophomore Landen King hauled in a highlight-reel touchdown with less than a minute remaining in Auburn's 2022 spring game. Team Tigers held on for the 10-9 win, though, after freshman quarterback Holden Geriner couldn't find King again on a 2-point conversion try.

King's touchdown was one of two on the day — the first coming from receiver Malcolm Johnson Jr., on a 20-yard pass from T.J. Finley. Speaking of the QB competition, Oregon transfer Robby Ashford had more than a few flashy plays, both with his athleticism and with his arm.
