Next year won’t be too much better either. Tank and Wooden should go pretty early. If Hall has a good year, maybe he’ll go higher than anticipated.
But after that it’s gone be crickets

I could see it being really bad or really good. Tank and Wooden for sure, but guys like Eku, Marcus Harris, OP, JSS, Zierer, K. Jones, and possibly JSS and Pritchett all have better shots than some of the guys we sent out this year imo. We'll see. Rest of roster is young

IMO I think it’s measurable and the perception of who the said person was coach by . For example even though Auburns offense was less than stellar people and people always praised the Defensive side of the ball. Maybe I am way off but just think people thought highly of Steele and his defensive staff.

I’m not counting anything as a positive turn until I see results. I still have a very uneasy feeling about the direction the football program is heading. A lot of that has to do with the fact that I just can’t see Harsin being able to compete with the resources of Saban,Kirby, and Jimbo. These are 3 football programs in their absolute prime and it’s going to take a great coach and commited athletic department to compete with them. And I see neither, so far.

I agree with you on the state of our program, but BSU just had multiple guys drafted. That was the result of Harsin and pretty much our staff.

The lack of players drafted last night isn't on Harsin.

Malik Willis was projected to be a first round pick and most likely top 10(Falcons). He dropped, so following the logic of some morons, that must be Hugh Freeze's fault. The fact that a UT Chattanooga player was a first rounder tells me that the NFL will look high and low for talent. AUBURN doesn't, and hasn't had a lot NFL talent. Hopefully we will start signing better players or developing less talented players. This didn't happen overnight and Harsin is not to blame for this year or last year's NFL draft. We had several that left last year, and didn't get drafted, that would have really helped this past years team.

Roger McCreary’s first NFL Draft call wasn’t from Titans, it was spam: ‘It did make me mad’

When Roger McCreary’s phone rang Friday during the second round of the NFL Draft and it showed a call from Tennessee, the former Auburn star didn’t let himself get too excited.

The Mobile native, who joined me and Lee Shirvanian on “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5, learned his lesson the day before. He revealed Monday his phone rang Thursday night during the first round only to pick up and hear it was a spam call.

Yep, the kind you and I get a number of times a day.

The only difference is his professional career was one phone call away.

“It did make me mad,” he said Monday with a laugh.

Sure, the No. 35 overall pick to the Titans can joke about it now but imagine picking up your phone and hearing, “We’ve been trying to reach you concerning your vehicle’s extended warranty. You should’ve received a notice in the mail about your car’s extended warranty eligibility. Since we’ve not gotten a response, we’re giving you a final courtesy call before we close out your file. Press 2 to be removed and placed on our do-not-call list. To speak to someone about possibly extending or reinstating your vehicle’s warranty, press 1 to speak with a warranty specialist.”

Brutal.

Not that he heard enough of the call to know exactly what was on the other end. In fact, he has been on the phone so much since becoming a Titan, he doesn’t remember where the call originated from.

So, you can understand his hesitation when the phone rang Friday. He was with family and friends at a Mobile-area sports bar when his cell phone came alive.

“When I got that call, I thought it might be another scam,” he explained, “but I just answered it and it wasn’t.”

It sank in that the call was real, so McCreary finally allowed himself to feel what all players do when they get that call.

“Everybody was just talking and I saw I got a call and it said Tennessee,” he explained. “I just froze. My mind just froze at that moment. I finally answered the call. ... I was just so overwhelmed. I couldn’t say nothing. It was a dream come true. I finally gave my mom a big hug. It was the longest hug my mom and I ever had.

“At that moment, I didn’t know what to say.”

i thought you folks could use a chuckle.................we have all had that kind of luck before.
