This is entirely too early for the season but I had a lot of extra time today so I'm going to go ahead and create the thread. I believe this will be my third season in a row keeping track of where our current Tigers rank among Auburn's All-Time leaderboard. What I will do differently this time is have this initial post stay unedited; just including the benchmarks and pre-season rankings. Then I'll reply after each game with the updated rankings.

***Transfer players' stats will solely be based on their time at Auburn and not their career stats (for example Zach Calzada's stats while at Texas A&M will not be counted towards his rankings).***

Passing Benchmarks

  • Top 100 = 1 completion = 1 attempt = 9 yards = 1 touchdown
  • Top 75 = 3 completions = 6 attempts = 48 yards = 1 touchdown
  • Top 50 = 28 completions = 49 attempts = 363 yards = 2 touchdowns
  • Top 40 = 51 completions = 116 attempts = 758 yards = 4 touchdowns

If something is missing or incorrect please let me know and I will make changes. One day when I have a ridiculous amount of time to sit down and work on it I will adjust these stats to remove players from the wrong category. For example, the running backs are attempting to move up the rankings that include all players to ever run with the ball (quarterbacks, receivers, even a tight end or two).

Thank you and War Eagle! I hope some other stats nerds enjoy this.

Very cool. Nice work Zeek. Do you use collegefootballdata.com?

https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/auburn/rushing.html

This is the site I typically use. Wish Auburn would have one on the official website. Think it would be cool to keep a list of record holders more publicly accessible.

Bumping this thread for game week.

Just a reminder these ranking only count stats while the player is competing for the Auburn Tigers. Hoping to see some guys shoot up the charts. Tank in particular.

Updated. Tank needs 1 more Rushing TD to be in the top 20 for every Rushing statistic. He is currently tied with Kenny Irons for Rushing TDs, just passed Lionel Jamss in rushing yards, and Brad Lester in rushing attempts.

Ja'Varrius Johnson had a huge performance with only 4 receptions.

Hunter doubled his rushing touchdowns total.

Alston and Dawson have entered the rankings recording their first stats.
