Baseball vs Kentucky

Recommended Posts

LSU routed Vandy. Scoring 16 runs after the 5th inning. 11 of them in the 8th.

Wish our bats could wake up like that.

Edit: Make that 18 runs. Leading 21-9 in the top of the 9th.

Moore grounds out on 1 pitch.

Howell goes down on strikes too.

Come on Tigers! Shake the JABA off. LSU sweeps Vandy with a football score after being down 6-1. Nuts

Bello hitting for Farquhar. Long time since he's seen any action.

Great at bat from him! Falls behind 0-2 before getting a full count single!!

Dyal hitting for LaRue. Another guy that hasn't played in a bit.

Ump screwing Auburn as Dyal strikes out on a ball way off the plate.

Land lines out.

Rambusch draws a full count but flies out.

5-2 Kentucky B8th

A double and then a 2 out single. Kentucky gets back the one run Auburn got from the Peirce homer. Just not our day. I'm gonna dip out and hope I come back home to a miracle come back.

6-2 Kentucky

No come back but DiChiara gets a solo home run in the 9th followed by 3 straight outs. That happened in the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning where got a lead off hit to only do nothing afterwards.

Kentucky wins 6-4. And Auburn will face Kentucky on Tuesday night where the winner faces LSU on Wednesday.

Bad day on the diamonds. BB and softball both lose. Disappointing trip to KY, bad breaks with the weather for two straight weekends. When is AU baseball going to catch a lucky break? Seems like every time there's some "situation" we get the short end of the stick. :(

Rain delays always seem to hurt the visiting team.

So.....on to the SEC tourney.

Ky again. That not good.

Except last Sunday when our own guy took everyone off the field as soon as he could. Perfect chance for some home cooking but ole baw had to steal the show

Well that game was finally cancelled because of a rule about the time on a traveling day so not really quite the same.

However bammer was denied a chance to take game 3 so who knows.

Or.....it may be good because Hoover is very comfortable for Auburn and not KY.

Weather has been a big factor this year. Looking like it is going to present a battle in Hoover this week.

And.....as odd as it seems, a good rain Sunday night was the first drop to fall here in 34 days! Lawn and pasture grass had dried up and got crispy.

Agree, need every drop. Was in B’ham Sunday and out by Hoover Met. Great job of getting ready for tourney. Had 1.5” rain Sunday night where I stayed.
