Howell with a 2-2 count ... 73 pitches for OSU starter. Full count! That's the 4th of the inning. Ball 4 in the dirt and it bounces away. No more harm done, though as we have bases loaded again!

COME ON LARUE!

Edit: New pitcher for OSU. Townsend has a 4.43 ERA. Worse ERA than the starter.

No. Their ace is Hjerpe but they said pregame he is out with an undisclosed illness. If I had to guess he is probably out because their coach brought him in to close a game 2 days after he went 7 innings.

OSU fan on reddit saying their bullpen is thin, that's why the kept their starter in so long after struggling with control.

Makes sense if they throw a starter in the bullpen as well.

Would love to get 3 solid innings from Sheehan. He was our opening day starter so he has the arm to do it if he has the control.
