***THIS WEEK HAS GAMES ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY******

Here we go, folks...best college football week of the year. What it is all about. Great games, great rivalry names, and bragging rights on the line.

As always, games will include all SEC games for the week, plus a few extra national games of importance.

There will be an optional "total points" tiebreaker that will be used ONLY ON A WEEKLY BASIS to determine the weekly winner in the event of a tie (i.e., these points do not count to season total or carry over week-to-week). The goal is to get the closest to the number of combined points in the game WITHOUT going over (what can I say - I grew up watching The Price is Right).

Point values:
3 POINTS for games between unranked teams OR Ranked vs Cupcake
4 POINTS for games with ranked vs. unranked (only if Power 5)
5 POINTS for games between ranked opponents

We are now using the CFB Playoff Committee rankings instead of AP Top 25.  Points carry through the end of the season, and the winner at the end gets to revel in the accolades of their peers while the losers suffer the ignominy of defeat. (Who knows, maybe if we beg RIR enough he'll come up with a grand prize like a forum rank or access to the Eagles Nest - which, by the way, SUPPORT THIS SITE! You'll get access to that private forum and the feeling of doing something good.)

Reply to this post with your picks from the list below. The BEST WAY TO DO THIS is to copy the list then paste it into your reply, then delete the team you think will lose.

IMPORTANT: This is done by spreadsheet, so be sure that:

1. The spelling is exact. NO ABBREVIATIONS OR EMOJIS. No commentary - leave it for the discussion thread!
2. Ensure that there are NO SPACES between the rows. If you're using a web browser via computer, hold down the SHIFT button and hit enter to go one space down. If you just hit enter it will automatically add an extra space. Note that if you have extra spaces, you'll only get points for your first pick - if it messes up the first time, I will send you a PM for you to fix it in your post.

4. Picks will close at noon EST/EDT each Saturday when the games start. If there are Thursday/Friday games, picks made after that game starts will not count.

 I appreciate the attention paid to pick formatting. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PICKS for extra spaces BEFORE AND AFTER the team name - extra spaces after the team name cause the spreadsheet NOT to recognize the pick correctly. I do a double-check at the end to make sure picks are getting the points but it is very time consuming and may result in you not receiving the correct number of points for the week!
