In 2017 Gus won the West but not the SEC. So Freeze isn't Gus 2.0 because Gus has more accomplishments than Freeze. The Supreme Court ruling only only applied to players already signed and on campus. The Supreme Court stated it was addressing only players that have signed and on campus. Furthermore after the court decision, the NCAA issued ruling that the NIL would be considered a booster of the school and that it is against the rules to even mention NIL to a recruit. So recruits like Arch Manning are signing contracts with independent 3 rd parties not associated with any schools. So to sum up academic fraud was not legal when Freeze committed and it is not legal now.
