Hahaha it would be very interesting that’s for sure. People will end up supporting him if he is the hire. IF he is, it will be because Cohen heavily vetted him and I would imagine Cohen will try and ease a lot of concerns in his initial statement of support.

The guy has appeared on zero P5 lists for nearly a decade and I haven't heard his name on one other than Auburn, who just got clowned doing the same thing hiring Harsin. Unlike Harsin, this guy got a school on probation and became a running headline on national news for buying hookers. What do you think the headlines are going to be when Auburn hires him? I think Nick Saban badly wanted to hire Freeze to be the next Kiffin-like OC at UA, but the SEC wouldn't let him.

As I posted a couple an hour ago, Freeze is on almost EVERY list, and in the top two or three, of the national sports talk shows, meaning outside of Alabama. So whether we like it or not, he is considered a legitimate candidate by so called knowledgeable folks. He wasn't my first choice, but who would be a 100% , no doubt he wins, hire? 

I can name some, but they ain't coming to AU. I'll wait and see and support my Tigers. Nobody that matters in the search gives a crap what I think anyway.  😆

FWIW, Gameday is saying Kiffin is out and Freeze is at the top of the list. How they know this is anybody's guess, but I hope they are correct. If Freeze is offered the job, he'll take it.

Who knows. But there is a big difference between an OC and getting publicly jilted in favor of Ole Miss only to hire the coach that got them on probation. It's practically a comedy and the negative recruiting is much easier than anything Gus or Harsin ever had to face.

That timeline doesn't work. Freeze's NCAA investigation was already over before Cohen became AD at MSU.

Can u 100% say Freeze wasn’t on anyone list or hearsay. Did anyone report Brian Kelly being an option for LSU. I get it people have a strong stance on Freeze. However Freeze and Harsin not even remotely the same. Freeze knows the task at hand. Was Lane the top choice or was it smoke and mirrors.

Well, if we talking NCAA violations.  In the eyes of the NCAA,  Bruce situation was worse. He lied and got 3 yrs show clause.  In Freeze case with the NCAA. He wasn't directly implicated. He was found guilty cause assistants were doing it under his watch. Hence,  his show clause was only 1 yr compared to Bruce's 3. 

As far as calls to escort services, his wife and family have forgiven him.  It happened 5 plus yrs ago, so that's good enuf for me. But it's fair game to critique his past.  IMO, everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Some will agree, some won't.

I don't in any way condone what Freeze did years back.   I do very much appreciate the second chances I have been given in life and the folks who gave them to me.  I always strive to make them proud.  We should all be willing to give folks second chances.   Raise your hand if you have never failed to chin the bar.
