Outraged about Hugh Freeze yet voted for Trump

Do you fit into the category of believing Freeze lacks the moral integrity to lead the team but managed to vote for Trump despite his lack of moral integrity? If so im curious as to what kind of mental gymnastics you used to make that make sense.

Or how about the mental gymnastics for the person who voted for the guy who is proposing granting immunity to the Saudi Crown Prince from a civil lawsuit over his role in a murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Which is the same person that’s son has videos of pedophilia and in his contacts has his father listed as Pedo Joe.  Yes, that laptop is real.

Come on Shabby, think it through before you throw stones.

Personally, I think there is a higher likelihood of Trump supporters also supporting the Freeze hire than they are being pro-trump/ anti-freeze. That would also explain why AU people on Reddit and Twitter, usually used by younger liberals, are so overwhelmingly against the hire.

Several of the biggest detractors I've seen from the freeze hire that I know from the political forum come from the more liberal side.

Oh I agree That there is a opposition to Freeze from the liberal side. However Liberals did not vote for a candidate with the same moral failings as Trump. The post is in regard to the hypocrisy of selective outrage

Definition Whataboutism: the technique or practice of responding to an accusation or difficult question by making a counteraccusation or raising a different issue.

That's exactly what you did. You seem to want to avoid the original question.

That's on your fellow conservatives to do something about their Orange God King.

It's admirable you admit hes a bad person, but you also have to lay blame on his popularity and existence where it belongs.....his actual supporters.

Both simply people who will do anything to win, regardless of the collateral damage.   I do not care for Auburn now embracing this philosophy.

For me, the difference is,,, Trump lies constantly, he is easy to read.  When it comes to HF, I can't tell when he is lying/acting and, when he is genuine.

I get it you dislike Joe Biden. Didn't you have other Republican choices that you could have voted for in the primary? Again the hypocrisy of people planning about you freeze while voting for Trump is mind-boggling but not all together and surprising in this Society. We have a long history of selective moral outrage

In 2016?  Yes we did. It was the same type of race and Trump won the primaries with out my vote.  In 2020 there were we no other Republican choice.  In 2016 Presidential race it was the lesser of two evils, same for the 2020 race for many.

We do have a long history of selective moral outrage on both sides.  I’m not sure why you just picked the Orange Man to go after.  I guess you have read the room.

The Republicans will have to oust him, as hard as the Dems have tried they have failed miserably.

Auburn has not embraced “this philosophy”. Until proven otherwise I believe the man to be genuine. Of you are entitled to your thoughts.

I agree that Trump is win at all cost. I also believe he is a defeated man.

I did not vote for Trump in the 2016 primary, but voted for him in 2016 and 2020in the General Election. He was the lesser of two evils.

I am fine with the HF hire.

  • Trump is a pathological liar.
    • No he isn't. Not sure you know what that actually means.
  • He pals around with White Nationalists.
    • Try not injecting CNN right into your bloodstream. It's awful for your health and sanity. Just an obnoxious claim.
  • He prompted an attack on the capital.
    • Nope. He didn't. Millions have been spent on this with a not-guilty verdict. See above response as well.
  • He's been accused of sexual assault and Harrassment by 18 women.
    • No convictions and I'm pretty sure you could find more than a dozen women to make accusations about any prominent political figure or celebrity. Sad day we live in where people like to pile on and lie. Now it's so hard to know who to believe.
  • He took highly classified information to Maralargo.
    • He was allowed to do so. The issue was concerning how they were stored. You really are going to hit all the spoon fed talking points though aren't you?
  • He bragged about grabbing women by the yumyum.
    • Yeah that was weird and inappropriate. It also sounded like when someone says "I want to be suffocated by her thighs." They don't literally mean they are going to go pass out from lack of oxygen with their mouth and nose sealed in thighs. Just him being a moron around another idiot guy.

The only thing Freeze is guilty of is hiring escorts for his private jet trips to recruiting/conferences/meet boosters. His wife managed to forgive him for it, the NCAA has allowed him to coach, the SEC approved of his hiring, and he has zero criminal charges against him whatsoever. So there really isn't a problem with supporting the hire. Unfortunately, fans have fed into the media narrative that we are dysfunctional and crazy. Freeze has one of the most misleading public images I have seen in a long time.
