Draw your own conclusions

I don’t see any issue and it has now come out that she wasn’t even a student. Furthermore wasn’t even the coach but seems guilty by association. Me personally wouldn’t have DM’d her but I am sure the search committee did their due diligence and left no stone unturned.

Are all of these them? He had no business DMing her. Just not smart. That is what I will say.

Glad to see the full context. Still shouldn’t have done this on a DM. He could have publicly said something. Past is the past and he wasn’t even there when any of this happened.

I just want the AU administration to address this head on to quiet a lot of the very angry fans.

Yup. That’s it. Definitely not smart but also not the bomb shell some were pushing.

Not a “bombshell” of sensationalism, but insight into very recent lousy judgment on his part. The first was poor judgment. The second was far worse and after the person clearly chose not to engage.

She continued to engage on her timeline tagging him and the university. Not taking any sides just more context. Yes it was dumb to do but I don’t think it’s as malicious as what’s been spread.

Yeah I figured she was blasting him in the public eye which is why he responded. Still, he needs to be the wiser adult.

The admin are handling it by giving him a handler, a PR specialist, and taking away his Twitter.

If I read it right the case was dropped. And the accusers counter sued and that case was dropped as well. All of this b4 Freeze even came to Liberty

But yes, dumb of Danny Hugh to engage her on social media even if he was just standing  by his friend.

Nothing there  worth NOT hiring a coach over.   Mountain out of a molehill.  He should not have done it, but come on people.

Some people are starting with a faulty assumption and searching for and twisting  evidence to corroborate it.

First things first...and most important...Terrible, terrible, terrible idea. Unfathomable that he thought as Head Football Coach of Liberty University that he should hit send on that DM. Stupid decision that hopefully he understands was wrong. The kind of decision normally made by teenagers.

With that being said, he wasn't disrespectful or bullying. You could tell he seemed to genuinely want to reach out and understand her mindset. He has to understand that while his heart may have been in the right place (protecting his friend and football program), you CANNOT get involved in a legal matter.

I agree. I figured Auburn, with their compliance would not allow him to be hired if there was something damning in that. That's why I just wanted all the facts out. I did jump the gun and say I don't know if I would approve of this hire if it causes such dysfunction, but glad that Auburn was willing to do their due diligence and give him another chance,

It was more than stupid when considering Liberty's reputation for dismissing sexual assault victims in order to protect the institution.

And, the larger suit with multiple victims was NOT dismissed,,, it was settled.

The Liberty culture doesn't have the best reputation.

I think the legal  matter was over at that point.   Still shouldn't have DMed her,  but it is not like he was trying to influence a trial.

True. Especially with McGlynn being Cohen's right hand man I figured there was nothing substantial.

True. Boneheaded thing to do as Head Football Coach, but not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

This too shall pass, for majority of people.

Someone needs to be advising him on things he won’t realize he needs advice for. And if he’s successful, the less apt he is to think he needs to listen.

The second one bordered on bullying given their power differential.

The whole "most jesus like man" is so cringe but that's also the language a lot of auburn folk gobble up. I don't see any big "there, there" to warrant freaking out over.  It is a little weird, I'll say that much.

It's open to interpretation. Him saying "I don't understand that mentality" leads me to believe he generally doesn't understand her mindset, but what do I know. 🤷‍♂️
