Drew Pyne Anyone?

What do you guys think of this QB from Notre Dame?  Any chance?

Pyne took over as Notre Dame’s starting quarterback for their third game of the season, following losses to Ohio State and Marshall. He went 8-2 at the helm, and threw for 2,021 yards with 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing nearly 65% of his passes. He went 4-1 against ranked teams, too, losing only to USC.

It’s unclear where Pyne will look to transfer. The Connecticut native was a four-star Rivals.com recruit out of high school and the seventh-best quarterback in his class. He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Miami and others before landing in South Bend.

Let’s get him onboard. More real competition

We're going to have to be very selective here. Unless the staff wants to run one of our current QB's off, one through the portal is probably all we will take. Is Pyne the one they'd want? I guess time will tell.

Pyne is a good one but Nussmier (sp) looked pretty good last night. I guess we have to be pretty selective unless Calzada or Geriner decide to test the waters. If we act too fast a better one may come along later. Not easy being in CHF shoes right now. Sure looks like he is a 24/7 guy.

The portal and NIL sure are making things interesting. Pyne may not even want to leave Notre, but the word was that Notre Dame was hoping to bring a QB in to compete with him, and possibly upgrade the position.  Now days, you can't forget to recruit your own kids.  Testing the waters via the portal makes sense even if you don't want to leave. If your team is bringing somebody in with a much bigger NIL deal than they offer you, you know where you really stand. It's crazy, and going to get even crazier.
