A prominent Montgomery lobbying firm whose founding partners and employees donated nearly $30,000 to Sen.-elect Katie Britt’s campaign reportedly announced Tuesday that it hired Britt’s husband, Wesley Britt.

Fine, Geddie & Associates said in a statement to Alabama Daily News that Wesley Britt would be based in the firm’s downtown Montgomery office and will not be lobbying on the federal level.

Wesley Britt, a former offensive lineman for the Crimson Tide and the New England Patriots, worked in economic development and as a lobbyist for Alabama Power before stepping down as his wife prepared for her Senate campaign.

“Wesley shares our love of the state of Alabama, and we look forward to having him as a member of our team,” said Fine Geddie founding partners Joe Fine and Bob Geddie in the statement.

“Wesley’s intricate knowledge of Alabama’s economic development landscape, extensive experience in Montgomery’s governmental affairs arena, deep roots in communities across the state, proven track record of meaningful relationship building, and his true heart for service will enhance our firm’s mission and record of success.”

Federal campaign finance records showed Fine and Geddie donated $17,400 to Katie Britt -- $2,900 apiece for each the GOP primary, GOP runoff and general elections.

Efforts by AL.com to reach a spokesperson for Katie Britt were not immediately successful Tuesday evening.

Counting other Fine Geddie employees, Britt received $29,210 from those who work at the firm.

Again, just business as usual, at least that's what the Hunter Biden defenders on the board tell me over and over. "Corruption is just fine, its a part of politics, as long as my side benefits..."

In reality, ALL corruption is heinous and needs to be weeded out. Red or Blue doesnt matter to those of us that think in terms of doing what is right.
