Women vs. LSU

This is a complete rebuild with a 2nd year coach. They have been improving but LSU is undefeated with best coach and top 5 in country. We actually played them close.

SEC is just loaded on the women's side.  We have a long way to catch up after the Flo disaster.

The Auburn Ladies took another beating today as they lost to LSU. I hope our new AD will take a hard look at the program after the season is over.

0-5 in SEC play with an average loss of 30pts is improvement?  I've haven't compared to previous years, but this is about as bad as it gets.

We're in the 2nd year of a new coach.  We have a one of our best players out with an injury and another that just got back in the lineup after an injury.  If we make a change after this season it will just put us further and further behind.  Unfortunately this rebuild is going to take some time.  Flournoy really screwed up this program bad.  We just need to have some patience and let Harris build up the roster.

I'm disappointed that there hasn't been more progress made to date. This isn't football where it takes dozens of new players to turn things around. A couple of top level recruits and some role players and a basketball team can be on its way. If we don't see big steps by the end of next season it will be time to pull the plug and look for a new coach.

They looked to be improving last year.  That has taken a nose dive this season.  I think that improvement may have followed Bob Starkey when he left for LSU.

Next year will be year 3.  That is ample time to have a different product on the floor.  Nobody is expecting a Sweet 16 appearance, but not losing to rivals by 50 would be nice.  We let TWF linger on and on.  That is the mistake we cannot make again.  Coming up is a game at Miss State.  Coach Purcell is in his first season at State.  He is the son in law of Joe Ciampi.

Agree we need to see more next year in year 3. Love to see more end of season. SEC just has so many elite teams. South Carolina and LSU are the class of the entire country.

Think UConn from years past.  Just tough situation for first time head coach.

I agree that it is a tough job.  That is why it pays $570,000.
