Setting the record straight

I've just about heard enough about Tommy Tuberville and Auburn's great preseason ranking. Let's set the record straight. Bear Bryant is still the greatest coach ever. He left a legacy that it doesn't matter who the coach is at Alabama. Since he retired, Alabama has dominated Pat Dye, they've dominated Terry Bowden and they've dominated Tommy Tuberville. They're still dominating and they'll dominate him again this year. Since Bear Bryant retired, Bama won more SEC titles and more national championships than any other SEC team, especially Auburn. Let's set the record straight.

Response:

Editor's note: OK, here is the record - Alabama is 10-10 against Auburn since Bryant's retirement. Pat Dye compiled a 5-5 record against Alabama after Bryant's retirement. Terry Bowden was 3-2 against Alabama and Tommy Tuberville is 2-2 against the Tide. Since Bryant's retirement, Florida leads the SEC with six titles, Tennessee has five titles, Auburn four titles, and Alabama and LSU have three titles each. Since Bryant's retirement, Alabama (1992), Florida (1996) and Tennessee (1998) have won one national championship apiece. Penn State's Joe Paterno is the all-time winningest Division I-A coach with 336 victories, followed by Florida State's Bobby Bowden (332 wins) and then Bryant (323).
