Not to overlook the Troy game today because lord knows we can't afford to.

But I was told today that our Friday night Ace Paul Burnside will not be able to start Friday and may not be able to pitch all weekend for medical reasons with his arm.

Not great for the tigers, but hopefully we'll have enough guys to start us out well for all three games.

He pitched sunday. Didn't allow a run and pitched quite well. Not sure how much he has played though. Thought I heard somewhere he was the midweek starter. Apparently had some injury or something where he couldn't start the weekend at all and when he came back just put him as the midweek starter.

I saw him pitch Sunday and was impressed. I was wondering if that outing would earn him another shot on teh weekend, especially in light of Burnside's situation.

I don't know about Paul at this time, but if we continue to lose games out of conference to Troy and the like, then we need more than a pitcher.

I am almost done with Slater.....not the team mind you, but Slater.

We lose TWO GAMES we should be winning that could have us at 29-15 instead of 27-17. We go 16 innings and still lose to Troy.
