My favorite was in top 9th and Butts was pitching to the 3rd batter and would be 3rd out for the win. The count was 3-1, and then the batter took the pitch and realized he missed a strike. Started backing out of the batters box when he realized that somehow the ump called it a ball, at which point he took first, base on balls. How bad is it that the very batter saw and was waiting for a call of strike, but the ump called a ball. Oh well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
