AUBURN -- Former B.C. Rain basketball standout Johnnie Lett has committed to the Auburn Tigers.

The 6-9, 240-pound power forward has played the last two seasons at Okaloosa-Walton Community College in Niceville, Fla. He committed to the Tigers this week, according to OWC coach Bruce Stewart.

Lett will be joined on the Plains by shooting guard Tay Waller of Manchester, Ga. Waller was a high school teammate of current Auburn star Korvotney Barber.

Lett originally committed to Virginia out of high school. When he didn't qualify, he chose to attend junior college rather than a prep school.

At B.C. Rain, Lett was known as a powerful force inside. He averaged double-digit rebounds per game during his senior season.

Lett averaged 2.9 points and 4.2 rebounds a game last year at Niceville. In the second round of his recruiting, he picked Auburn over Georgia State, Penn State and New Mexico.

The 6-2, 180-pound Waller averaged 18.3 points as a freshman at Okaloosa-Walton.

Meanwhile, power forward Toby Veal of Johnson High in Savannah, Ga., is set to pick between Auburn, Colorado and Colorado State today, according to AuburnSports.com.

The early-signing period for basketball begins Nov. 14. In addition to Waller and Lett, Auburn also has a commitment from point guard Frankie Sullivan of Uniontown.
