10 Reasons LSU will Win

1. Trindon Holliday - Auburn doesnt have anyone remotely close to his speed. If he gets to the corner, he is gone.

2. Muschamp - Fisher held Miles back in game planning for the game last year. Now Crowton can dissect Muschamps d with screens and dump offs to the back out of the backfield. Also fly routes work pretty well.

3. Death Valley - No place like it. Miles hasnt lost there on a Saturday Night.

4. Perriloux/Flynn - Perriloux is expected to get a lot more pt. Look for him to throw more this week.

5. We are coming off of a loss - We are ready to bounce back and Auburn is the victim

6. Game is not played in Auburn so ref's cant cheat as much - How ridiculous were the calls made last year.

7. Doucet is Back - Watch out. Our 2nd best player and future 1st round pick is back. Flynn and him have a special chemistry.

8. The defense is hungry - Last weeks performance was embarrassing. Our d-line is ready to feast on Brandon Cox

9. Tubberville is going to A&M - He is turning into Larry Brown. His allegiance to Auburn is fading.

10. USF Lost - We still have a shot at the national title especially with the team that beat you South Florida losing last night. We have the championship rings in sight

Nice to see that you like to spread rumors as well as humor!

Tubberville is going to A&M - He is turning into Larry Brown. His allegiance to Auburn is fading.

And Les Miles is going to Michigan so they might talk about moving companies after the game is over!

Get a Grip and WAR EAGLE!

1. Wrong, fast defense.

2. Opinion, possible.

3. Overrated.

4. THat should be a tough thing to defend.

5. Possible, or over confidence will strike and your game plan falls apart when Muschamps d slash's your O.

6. SEC officials. They don't cheat, they just suck. Auburn doesn't have officials that only officiate their games. The crew that would officiate on saturday would have officiated at either stadium. (idiot responses from miopic football uneducated fanbases.)

7. Doucet is good, but first games back after injuries are rarely break out games and his reps will probably still be limited.

8. I think your D has done exactly as it has done most of the year against good talent. Both teams are very hungry to win the SEC berth so that is a nuetral.

9. LOL, its not an impossibility but I doubt he would do anything to lower his value if that was a plan. Beating LSU this year wouold give him a better value to A&M when it comes time to decide a contract. (still a retarded theory)

10. You still have a lot to prove to maintain your position. USC, Oklahoma, and Ohio State are still in your position so you don't have a pass into the NCG game.

I was expecting to read something "legit" , not a bunch of BS intangibles. Outside of Perriloux playing more and one guy having some speed, none of these are actual gameplaying related and the two I mentioned are not any type of detail, just wishful thinking.

You've come onto an Auburn board with these bogus claims and expect it to not be taken as smack talk?

If Tray Blackmon gets a hand on Holliday he'll break in half. And I truly hope LSU thinks Auburn's defense is slow. That will be a nice surprise in our favor.

Auburn is no victim. Auburn is a rival and an annual tough opponent. Just like your moronic buddy's mistake, LSU is by no means going to punish Auburn for being the next opponent. If anything, that loss hurt you by exposing a huge weakness in the defense. 43 points? We haven't given up 43 points in our last four games.

Refs don't cheat. They weren't anywhere near as ridiculous as your top ten reasons LSU is going to win.

Tuberville isn't going anywhere before this Saturday. Even if he was going to leave at the end of this season, don't you think he wants to win this game even more to boost his potential contract?

USF has nothing to do with LSU-AU.

2. Muschamp - Fisher held Miles back in game planning for the game last year. Now Crowton can dissect Muschamps d with screens and dump offs to the back out of the backfield. Also fly routes work pretty well.

Fisher held Miles back? That's completely laughable. Les Miles is a bonehead. I'm sure Fisher would have called much dumber plays than "run it up the middle four times when we're down in overtime."

Miles should have lost there two seasons ago on a Saturday night. Unless Miles can control the wind, he had nothing to do with Auburn losing in 2005.

I hope Perriloux gets more PT. How's he going to handle the best defense in the SEC?

Doucet, ha, more like Douchet. I'm sure that special chemistry is real sweet back at the dorm rooms, but as Tebow and Caldwell learned a few weekends ago, that "special chemistry" doesn't help beat Auburn.

If the defense is hungry, buy them a sandwich. Brandon Cox will be laughing all the way home as he hands the ball off to our CATEGORY 5 running game - Lester, Tate, Fannin, Stewert, and our O-line.

1. Trindon Holliday - Never heard of him. He'll probably have the runs from eatin' a big mess of rotten Louisana oysters Friday night. The only fast runnin' he'll be doing is in his shorts.

2. Muschamp - Best D coordinator in college football. Ready for screens as well as flies, but the flies usually aggregate around the LSU cheerleaders & students.

3. Death Valley - Miles hasnt lost there on a Saturday Night so he can look forward to the similar experience Meyer had in The Swamp a few weeks ago.

4. Perriloux/Flynn - I've heard of them. LSU plays whichever one is playing least poorest.

5. We are coming off of a loss - We are about to be bounced again by Auburn.

6. Game is not played in Auburn so maybe some bad calls will go our way. It's our only chance to win.

7. Doucet is Back - Watch out, he's not well, please don't let him get hurt. Flynn and him have a special chemistry, but when Perriloux is in forget about it.

8. The defense is hungry, and coach is going to let them eat their crawdaddies shell and all this week. They'll be bloated by game time and Brandon Cox will feast on 'em.

9. Tubberville is going to take AU to a National Championship soon, and beating LSU again, although routine, will show the progress he as made so far.

10. USF Lost - and we still have a shot or two of Cajun Stump Water. It's almost as good as the Bammer Kool-Aid. After drinking a stump full of that, we'll have our nipple rings in plain sight.

Holliday runs a 10.02 100 meters. You might want to get used to that name.

Muschamps defense here was great but it does have a few vulnerabilities.

By the way its not crawfish season right now.

Guess your defense wasn't "Hungry" against UF when Tebow almost single-handedly beat you on your home turf. Oh, I almost forgot that UF, who has NO running game, shoved it down your throat most of the night. Right up the gut over Tommy Dorsey and Michael Jackson.

Guess they'd just left an all you can eat buffet before they loafed into Commonwealth Stadium and got run off the field by Kentucky. But NOW they're hungry?

How is Perriwinklelou getting more reps a reason LSU will beat AU? Apparently, ole' Rap Sheet Ryan hasn't been good enough to beat out Flynn to this point in the season, now has he?

Oh, and as for Holliday Inn getting to the corner and being gone....this is the best defense you have faced or will face all year. He isn't exactly leading the SEC in rushing this year and all of a sudden you think he's going to rip this D? Stay off crack son.

Love it when a nutria eatin' toonce comes on here smack talking and claims it's not smack, but legit. Just proves the ignorance of some of the LSU faithful that the rest of the SEC has noticed about the kittens from Red Stick for a long time.

1. Holliday is a great player and a legit key to the game. He just has to simply get to the corner.

2. Florida thought the same thing. ;)

3. Death Valley can be a formidable place to play.

4. While good at what they do, they haven't shown that they are what you corndogs hailed them to be.

5. If this is what you need to get fired up to play, you may have more problems than you think.

6. You are crying a** little girl. You are delusional. Your mother doesn't love you.

7. Doucet is a good player. Don't remember him having great numbers v. Auburn, but should be watched.

8. Defense should be hungry. They didn't show up to the table last week.

9. Wishful thinking. Sadly, your hate for the man consumes you and it will only get worse this weekend.

10. Keeping looking toward a championship...could be another cigar party on your lawn.

LSU, a team with too much media hype talking MNC implications; that starts a white tailback that has one speed (slow), relies on gimick plays, reverse plays to a 5'0 140 lb wingback, and fake field goals to win games.

Buh bye, Lester.

Didn't LSU lose to TN at night in Death Valley in 2005? Wasn't Les the coach?

I may be wrong - it may not have been at night, but I thought all big games are night games at DV.

Hmmm . . . gameday must be drawing nigh . . . I'll throw in my $.02 before this gets booted to the 'shed.

1. Agreed that Holiday is a burner; if gets loose just once, it could be the difference in the game. On the other hand, Harvin, McFadden and F. Jones can all run a little, and none had much luck vs. Auburn's defense.

2. Not sure if this has any real meaning. Credit Crowton for upgrading LSU's running attack; like Borges, he learned real quick that "west coast" finesse won't get it done in the SEC. That said, I'll take CTT & WM against anyone.

3. No doubt the crowd will be out of control, but if Auburn can win at The Swamp, it can win at Death Valley.

4. Somebody better - LSU had 130 passing yards last week, in three OTs. No way LSU runs for 200+ on Auburn.

5. Both teams have a lot of incentive, but both are coming off stretches of tough, physical games. It'll be interesting to see who still has enough gas in the tank, emotionally and mentally.

6. Contact or no contact, the ball was uncatchable. Move on.

7. Not to mention Will Arnold. This is the "X Factor": How big an impact will they have? Could be a big lift for LSU's offense - we shall see.

8. If you hadn't noticed, Auburn's D (and especially Auburn's D-line) can play a little, too.

9. Yaawwwnnn . . .

10. Not if they don't bring everything they've got tomorrow night.

As usual, this game shapes up as a classic defensive / kicking game / field position struggle. Neither team can afford mistakes. Auburn seems to have solved the turnover problems, but we can't afford a(ny more) special teams breakdown(s). We've got to cover kicks (think USF, or Skyler Green - ugh). As clutch as Byrum's been, he'll have to be perfect tomorrow night. (Was anyone else thinking / fearing "John Vaughn, Part II" last week?) Plus, Shoemaker / Tatum needs to bounce back from a mysterious down game last week. (Something in me says Robert Dunn's going to make a play tomorrow night - hopefully, he got the message last week . . .) For its part, LSU doesn't turn it over much, but they've been awfully penalty prone . . .

Both teams want to run, but neither will get far if it can't throw. Look for Auburn to throw (a lot) more early and on first down; we'll need another opening drive for points (see UF, Vandy, Arky) to set the tone (i.e., settle our team / their crowd). While I think Cox is going to play well, I don't like our chances playing from behind (the score or the chains) down there.

All that to say, it should be another great game. Good luck to LSU - hope they play well . . . in defeat.

WAR EAGLE!!! BEAT :lsu: !!!

2. The Louisiana State University must have some kind of specialty in excuse-making. You guys are doctorate-level whiners.

3. Wrong.

Sept. 26, 2005: Tennessee 30 LSU 27

LSU Head Coach: Les Miles

It was a night game.

4. And Perriloux has demonstrated that he's better than Tebow how....?

5. Being ready to bounce back and actually bouncing back are two different things.

6. Whine, whine, whine. If refs are cheaters, what on earth makes you think the venue matters to them? Suck it up, assbag. You lost. We beat you because your vaunted offense couldn't score more than a FG. Period.

7. Yeah. We haven't faced any good receivers this year. Doucet is good, when 100%. But even with your first round draft pick throwing to him last year it's not like he lit us up. And our defense is better this year.

8. They can be hungry all day long, but we heard all this revenge talk a few weeks ago in Gainesville too.

9. Another LSU wet dream waiting to be rudely interrupted.

10. If all that mattered was having a shot a title at some point during the season, we wouldn't play the games. We'd just give everyone a trophy and call it a day.

And you act as if Auburn has no motivation here whatsoever. Like playing our way back into the SEC title race is just ho-hum. I hope your boys think we're gonna lay down and roll over for you too.

Arrogant whiny bastages.

yeah...ok.. again, ask Florida and Arkansas about our defense

3. Death Valley - No place like it. Miles hasnt lost there on a Saturday Night.

Why are lsu and Auburn playing at Clemson??

4. Perriloux/Flynn - Perriloux is expected to get a lot more pt. Look for him to throw more this week.

Average QB's at best. We've already shut down two top offenses and lsu's doesn't compare to them

5. We are coming off of a loss - We are ready to bounce back and Auburn is the victim

Loss and a close win, both of which exposed serious weaknesses in that supposedly stellar defense of lsu's. Auburn's defense is better.

6. Game is not played in Auburn so ref's cant cheat as much - How ridiculous were the calls made last year.

Dumb ass, the officials are SEC officials, not Auburn officials, and not lsu officials. grow up and try to score a TD this year.

7. Doucet is Back - Watch out. Our 2nd best player and future 1st round pick is back. Flynn and him have a special chemistry.

WHO?? he's all you got with average QB's. again, our defense has faced better.

8. The defense is hungry - Last weeks performance was embarrassing. Our d-line is ready to feast on Brandon Cox

hungry?? seems to me its more like they've been EATEN already after that 43 points to kentucky. Again, try scoring a touchdown on us this year, then talk

9. Tubberville is going to A&M - He is turning into Larry Brown. His allegiance to Auburn is fading.

First, it's TUBERVILLE. learn to spell. Second, sorry to burst your bubble but Tuberville isn't going anywhere no matter how badly you want it to happen. Miles will be gone from lsu before tuberville leaves Auburn. In fact, miles has until december or january and he'll be gone.

10. USF Lost - We still have a shot at the national title especially with the team that beat you South Florida losing last night. We have the championship rings in sight

They may be in sight but only because you turn on the tv while two other teams play for the title.

6. Game is not played in Auburn so ref's cant cheat as much - How ridiculous were the calls made last year.
